As your mind was slowly catching up with your brain you slowly sat up from the ground, holding your both hands against your chin where Zim left some pretty noticeable marks of his fingers.
You hissed at the pain and cursed low to yourself, trying to figure out how to hide it from Dib since he is expecting you to come over at his table with Gaz. With trembling feet you stood up, holding the desk as your support.
"No, I won't let this just slide.. I'll get him for this." You said as anger began to rise, clouding your thinking as you finally packed your stuff and headed towards the door with firm fists.
__________
With a steady pace you look over the corner of the hallway, spotting the cafeteria sign above the door as you heard blurry chatting echoing through the halls.
You lifted your feet until something broke to you, you still need to hide the previous marks that Zim inflicted on you.
You kinda hide your face against your jacket, entering the cafeteria trying to look for Dib. As annoying the loud sound was of kids talking loudly, your eyes catched the iconic hair of the boy genius. Luckily Gaz was the first one to spot you since she was sitting facing you, she kicked Dib's leg under the table getting a low reaction out of him you couldn't understand.
Gaz pointed at your detection making Dib look over, a glint of relief sparkling in his eyes seeing you standing by the door. He waved his hand to tell you to come over, which you did by passing by the other people in the room.
"Geez I was already starting to worry if you would flee or something." Dib chuckles while watching you sit down next to him, your face still hiding just underneath the collar of your jacket. Your eyes glanced over at him while wearing a warm welcoming smile.
"Flee ? Me ? Never." You snicker with slight sarcasm, putting your backpack on the ground next to your chair. Gaz however was silently watching your every move, gently putting down her game console on the table for the first time.
It even surprised Dib.
"Something isn't right here." Gaz kept her eyes on you looking at you with slight judgment. You felt cold sweat on your forehead, eyeing her back almost pleading her to stop through eye contact.
Gaz read you like a book, sparing your moment before Dib cut her off.
"What do you mean something is wrong ? Did I miss something or is this like a girls thing ?.." Dib nervously look down at his book when he mentioned the last part of his sentence, not wanting to bother of the commotion that was going on.
"My juice, my juice is gone." Gaz shortly answered Dib without being hesitant, you thanked Gaz mentally inside your head as she stood up from her seat, walking towards the venting machine to pick up her juice she always thought it was delicious.
You felt yourself being relieved, sinking back more into your chair huffing. You peek over at Dib who was reading his book quietly, curiosity got the best of you and you leaned back over on the table, looking at his book.
"What are you.. reading ?" You saw Dib flinch at your voice, it was probably because he was too focused in his book. He looks at you questioning himself if he should tell you, but you however tried your best to have a free mindset with a welcoming smile.
"Oh it's mostly about the things I told you about, paranormal activities and such." Dib's voice got more relaxed by your interest of his book, you nodded your head already expecting it to be that kind of book.
"That's what I wanted to tell you, I got some of those books as w-"
A hand was slapped right next to your side against the table, you got scared and looked over who it was.
Zim.
You heard Dib let out an annoyed sound, realizing he was also staring at Zim with the same expression as you.
"What do you want, alien ?" Dib slurred out the last part in a taunting voice, clearly poking at Zim.
"That's none of your business balloon-head, I am here for her." Zim pointed his finger at you, wearing a mischievous grin on his face while he was looking at you. You immediately felt sick in your stomach of seeing him again, the same guy who pushed you on the ground for no reason.
"I don't under-" Your eyes widened when you felt Zim push his finger against your lips, silencing you before he sat down next to you giving you no choice to decide if he could sit or not.
"You don't need to understand you earth-worm, Zim is only here to claim what is his." You lifted up an eyebrow at his response, even Dib was zoning out of this whole fiasco. Zim was way too close to you, actually he was right in your personal bubble making you even more uncomfortable and freaked out.
"Zim, get away from [Y/N] before you infect her with your outer space germs or something.." Dib glared at Zim with full hatred, his voice was slightly shaking. Zim didn't hesitate to glare back, he was smiling.
You could already tell that these two hated eachother way to the core, ready to pull eyes out.
"Don't treat me like an object, I'm a person." You tried to push Zim away as hard as you could, but he didn't even budge at all. You felt the alien grab your thigh underneath the table making you gasp in shock, was this really happening ?!
"What is Zim doing here ?" Gaz returned with her juice in her one hand, still holding her gameboy as she walked towards the table looking at Zim. Dib didn't even try to explain, he rather ignore Zim instead of having a useless idiotic argument.
Gaz began to smile, shaking her bottle of refreshment before spraying the content on Zim, you saw smoke slowly form as Zim let out a shriek of agonizing pain of the wetness. You only watched him run away hysterically from the cafeteria.
