A spirit dragon flew through the night sky, it's two large wings beating through the cool air. It's yellow eyes searched the mountain-scape, looking for a specific cave. It reared back as it saw the cave. A white tail had disappeared into the cave. The dragon in the sky frowned and flew down to the cave. It landed with a thud that shook the earth.

"All right, come on out, Tigo. I know you're there. I saw your tail," the dragon said as it entered the cave.

Lined around a massive fire were two very large sofas. The spirit dragon sat on one and looked around. On the mantle was a painting of Tigo's family. There were flowers on either side of the painting. There were shelves upon shelves of books on the walls. The sitting dragon looked at the stairs and saw a snow-white dragon staring at it.

"What do you want, Yoha?" Tigo asked the sitting dragon.

"I believe I was summoned here. If it was a mistake I-I'll go," Yoha said, getting up to leave.

"No. That was not a mistake. Sit. We have things to discuss. Come along, Kelly," Tigo said, walking down the remainder of the stairs and sitting on the other sofa. A human ran up to Tigo and sat against Tigo's tail.

"That-that's a human, Tigo. What's it doing here?!" Yoha asked, obviously troubled.

"I have a name, you know. My name is Kelly," Kelly said, pointing an accusing finger at Yoha.

"Oh. Um. I'm sorry. What are you doing here?" Yoha asked.

"I don't know. What am I doing here, Tigo?" Kelly asked the white dragon.

"Yoha bend closer to me," Tigo said. He whispered something in Yoha's ear that Kelly couldn't hear. "You got that," Tigo asked Yoha.

"Yes."

"Good. Now do it while the moon is still up."

"All right. Follow me, Kelly," said the spirit dragon as he walked out of the cave.

Kelly looked at Tigo, who nodded. Kelly smiled and followed Yoha out of the cave.

"Yoha, what are we doing?" the human asked.

Yoha sighed and looked at the moon. "I don't want to do this, but it's for the good of my kind. You see, Kelly, dragons are being hunted and driven from our homes by you humans. Many dragons died, some fled and were never heard from again, and others turned to the Spirit Way," Yoha said sadly.

"What's the Spirit Way?" Kelly asked.

"It's when a dragon is...shall we say...transformed to a spirit. I went that path so I'm a spirit dragon."

"What's so special about being a spirit dragon?"

"It's very dangerous and most dragons don't survive. I think I'm the only one who survived the Spirit Way in centuries. Or I'm not and others are out there. Wandering. Lost. Looking for friends, family, and sometimes even foes just for company. I'm sorry if I saddened you but I had to tell you."

"Why?"

"It's part of what I need to do." Yoha's eyes glowed as a fierce wind blew.

"Yoha? What's happening?" Kelly yelled at the dragon.

Yoha spread his wings and lifted into the air. "This might hurt," he yelled to Kelly.

"What will?"

"Haha. You're so full of questions. Good-bye, Kelly," Yoha said.

"What? Where are you going?" Kelly asked.

She screamed as Yoha dived toward her. Trails of light came off of Yoha as he shrunk to the size of Kelly. He landed in front of the cowering human.

"Your eyes! They're...glowing! Why?" Kelly asked.

"I don't know. We'll meet again, Kelly. Good-bye," Yoha said as he touched Kelly in the chest. He disappeared into light. The light raced toward Kelly and slammed into her, disappearing into her chest. Kelly's eyes rolled back into her head and she fell. Tigo caught her before she hit the ground. Tigo sighed."Good-bye, Yoha," he said. He carried Kelly into the cave as the moon set and the sun rose.
