So we are finally in Cancún. I got to push the date back so that Namiko could finish out her scheduled appointments. Right now we are each in our rooms in our Airbnb.
"We have the whole day to do what we want, babe.", Wes says. He walks up to me and wraps his arms around my waist. "I miss Milan.", I say. "Babe don't do this. She's 15 now and your mom is checking up on her.", Wes says. "Yeah, but what if she sneaks Carson in the house?", I ask. "We have cameras.", Wes says. "Is this much worrying unhealthy?", I ask. "No, you love your daughter and that's awesome. The only thing is you are one phone call away from being a Hispanic mother.", Wes says. I roll my eyes. "But it's cute that you care.", Wes says and kisses me.
We walk out to the living room to see everybody else. "Does she miss Milan?", Namiko asks Wes. "Yes.", Wes says. "Oh my God. You miss Milan, Beck misses the twins, and Maddyx misses Jonas. Y'all are the only parents I know that overbearingly miss your kids.", Namiko says. "You'll understand when you have kids.", Ambia says. "You too?", Namiko asks. "Duh. That's my son too.", Ambia says. "I can't, y'all are gonna turn me into a day drinker.", Namiko says walking into the kitchen.
"You're just upset that you're the only person here who doesn't have a kid.", Beck says. Namiko walks back in with a bottle of tequila in her hand. "Explain to me how that even remotely makes sense. Everyone already knows I hate kids.", Namiko says. "Oh really, but on you-", Namiko interrupts Sam. "Samir don't fucking do it.", Namiko says.
"Ok so will the almost alcoholic please put the bottle down.", I say. "I down two drinks at one time and now I'm an alcoholic. I'm young and wanna have fun.", Namiko says. "You have a bottle of tequila in your hand.", Cyrus says. "I have a stressful life so will you Debby Downers please just let me turn to alcohol.", Namiko says.
"You really have to deal with this at home?", I ask Sam. "No. She doesn't really drink at home.", Sam says. "See I can't be an alcoholic if I don't fucking drink and I earned my right to drink. I didn't drink in college because I was always either working or studying so now that I've graduated I'm gonna party.", Namiko says.
"Hey live it up now because once you have kids, the fun is over.", Ambia says. "I call bullshit cause Sam's babymama go crazy.", Namiko says. "That's cause she's an irresponsible mother. She let's just anybody watch my son.", Sam says. "Or maybe you're just no fun.", Namiko says. "Ok what's with this fun bullshit all of a sudden? You literally work all the damn time and have to try and pull yourself away to even be around your boyfriend.", Sam says.
"Oh Sam, poor naive Sam. You know your girlfriend is a party girl on the low?", Beck says. "No she isn't.", Sam says. "Oh, but I am. I partied hard in high school, but I studied even harder I just still had bad party girl habits so I had to clean my act up for college. I buckled down, did what the fuck I needed to do, and graduated early but the party girl never left.", Namiko says. "So on your birthday when you asked Ilyas what he normally drinks?", Sam asks. "Me and Ilyas have the same taste in drinks. Oh and I wasn't drunk...while at the bar at least.", Namiko says.
"Damn you do go crazy.", Wes says. "Nah not really. I am always working and I don't really drink at home.", Namiko says. "Is it to set a good example for Lincoln?", I ask. "No, fuck that kid. I just like being sober. I have more control over myself.", Namiko says.
We go outside to the pool area and sit in the chairs. "Can I just check in once?", I ask. "No, she is fine and if something happens they will call.", Wes says. I sit back and Wes puts his arm around me. "I miss this.", I say. "Miss what?", Wes asks. "This, us. You're always away for work so I never get to see you.", I say. "Babe you know I only work so much so that we can afford the life we have.", Wes says. "Yeah, but...nothing.", I say. "No say it.", Wes says.
"You always complain about how your father wasn't there when you were growing up, but now you're doing the same thing to Milan.", I say. "I've actually been thinking about that.", Wes says. "You have?", I ask. "Yeah cause it's unfair to her. I don't want her to grow up and resent me just like I did my dad.", Wes says. "You know that has a simple fix then.", I say. "Yeah I do and I'll tell you what at the end of March, we'll go on a family vacation. I never got to do those with my family and I've always wanted to.", Wes says. "Ok, but where are we going?", I ask. "I've got that covered. You don't worry about a thing except being my gorgeous wife.", Wes says and pulls me on him. "Oh baby I don't have to worry about that.", I say and kiss him.
