"Haeun-ie-!" Sakura yelled as she ran towards her best friend.

"Saku-Chan!" Haeun said as she hugged Sakura. The two have been friends since they were in diapers.

They were currently on a playdate in the park and both of their parents were staring at the two.

"We'll be over here by the cherry blossom tree. Yell if you need anything and play nice girls." Mrs.Miyawaki said to the girls, before walking away with the other adults.

The two girls played tag and played in the sandbox together.

"Saku-Chan look! It's a castle and this is the princess" Haeun said as she pointed at the small princess doll on top of the castle.

"She very pretty? What's her name?" Sakura asked as she eyed the castle.

"Areum, because she's very beautiful" Haeun said as she admired the princess. The two played on the playground equipment, until they decided to play catch with a ball Sakura brought.

"Haeun catch!" Sakura said as she threw the ball and it landed in the street.

"Wah Saku-Chan! That was a nice throw!" Haeun said in awe and stared at the ball in the street.

"Let me get the ball!" Haeun said as she ran towards the sidewalk.

"Be careful!" Sakura called out.

Haeun went to the sidewalk. She looked both ways and then went quickly to get the ball, but what she didn't notice was a delivery truck zooming towards her.

"Haeun-ie! Look out!" Sakura yelled, which caused the attention of her parents.

Then in a blink of an eye, Haeun was hit. A bystander called the ambulance, while other people gathered around. The shocked truck driver got out quickly.

"I'm so so sorry! I didn't see her!" The man said as he approached Haeun's angry parents.

"Yah! What were you doing speeding through here then? Delivery trucks are banned from driving down this road anyway! You better leave before we call highway patrol!" Mr.Kim said angrily as the now sacred truck driver went away.

They soon made it to the hospital and Haeun was taken into emergency surgery. Sakura on the other hand was crying her eyes out and walked towards Haeun's parents.

"I'm so so sorry Mr and Mrs.Kim. I should've gotten your attention to help us get the ball. Please don't get angry at me!" Sakura said as she sobbed and Mrs.Kim bent down to we level.

"It's fine Sakura. It's not your fault, it's the man fault for not knowing the law." Mrs.Kim said as she patted the girl head.

"Sakura let's go. It's getting late" Mr.Miyawaki said as he grabbed Sakura's hand and walked out the hospital doors.

The doctor soon came and walked towards the Kim's.

"Mr and Mrs.Kim?" The doctor asked and they both sat up.

"Well I'm Dr.Sun and I have an update on the surgery" Dr.Sun said as he flipped his clipboard.

"Is my daughter all right?" Mr.Kim asked and as the doctor got to a paper he needed.

"Yes, she suffered from head trauma and we managed to get her in on time. But she has memory loss. I would give her time before she can get her memories back. She's sleeping right now, but she'll be ready to be sent home in about a week. You're lucky that bystander called a ambulance when they did or else she wouldn't had made it. Good night Mr and Mrs.Kim" Dr.Sun explained and left the two parents with good news.

The next morning, Sakura was eating her cereal until her mom sat in front of her.

"You're thinking about Haeun right?" Her mom asked and Sakura's face automatically lit up.

"Yes! Is she okay?" Sakura asked curiously.

"She's fine but she lost her memories. She should get them back in a few days or weeks. Let's take you to school" Mrs.Miyawaki said as she grabbed Sakura's pink bunny backpack.

When Sakura was in school, the two parents discussed what was going to happen.

"When Haeun gets her memories back, she will want to play with Sakura again" Mr.Kim said.

"I know, but I'm afraid she might get injured again." Mrs.Kim said sadly. "I mean when they were playing together a few weeks ago, Sakura sprained her wrist."

"Are you guys saying we should separate them apart?" Mrs.Miyawaki asked.

"If they mean they not play together, or go to the same school, they're right" Mr.Miyawaki said.

"We'll homeschool Haeun so she won't get picked on for her shaved head. Then we'll move away since we've been meaning to do that for past months." Mr.Kim said and the three other adults nodded in agreement.

Over that span, Sakura always tried to see Haeun but her parents refused to. Their parents relationship went rocky over a argument a week later and dropped all contact with each other.

Haeun doesn't remember anything about Sakura. All she remembers is playing with a old neighbors kids.

When Sakura was 11 she went over to their house and knocked on the door and an old lady appeared at the door.

"Annyeonghaseyo, are the Kim's here or their daughter Haeun? If so can I see them?" She asked the old woman.

"The Kim's.....ah! They moved out about 7 years ago? Why?" The old lady announced and Sakura's face fell.

"Oh nothing! Thank you so much for your help" Sakura said and then walked back home.

"Where are you Haeun? I miss you!" Sakura thought silently as she walked back to her house.
