Its been a month since Sarah and I became official. We were still trying to maintain our privacy but the paparazzi and the media had seen too much already for that to be possible. Sarah has been very supportive of me and my music, leaving me to write when I need to and watching me at shitty open mic nights when she can. We swap between staying at my place or hers depending on whether she has work or meetings.

Its 3am and I am sat in my living room trying to write a song that has been dancing around my brain for days now. I play my guitar as quietly as possible but not quiet enough as soon I feel arms wrap gently around my shoulders.

"Its late, are you coming to bed?" Sarah whispers in my ear and immediately goosebumps appear on my bare arms. I put my guitar down and lean into her embrace.

"I know, I promise I'll be there soon. I just have to get this song written down so I don't forget it." I reply softly.

I pick up my notepad and pen and begin scribbling down lyrics and chords. While I am writing Sarah brings out a blanket from the bedroom and curls up on the sofa, wrapping the blanket around herself. I look up at her, confused.

"Babe what are you doing? Go back to bed," I say wondering why she isn't going back to sleep.

"I can't sleep without you anymore." Sarah replies quietly.

After she speaks I get up and sit next to her, gently pulling her head to rest against my chest. She leans into my embrace and closes her eyes. She works so hard she must be exhausted. I decide my song can wait. I bundle her up in the blanket and carry her back into the bedroom. I place her on one side as I climb into the other.

"What about the song?" Sarah asked, her voice heavy with sleep.

"It can wait, you're more important." I reply as I pull her close again. In a matter of seconds Sarah is asleep, her breathing deep and even. I watch her for a little while, mesmerized by her beauty. Soon my eyes get heavy and I too fall asleep.

-------------------------------------

I wake up early the next morning and am finally able to finish the song. In celebration I make Sarah her favourite chocolate chip pancakes. I wake her and we sit at the table as we begin to eat. Just as I am munching on a mouthful of pancake my phone starts ringing. I rush to finish my mouthful, almost choking in the process, and jump out of my seat as I answer the phone.

Sarah watches me with a bemused smile as I pace the room. I try and reply to the person on the phone with one word answers so I don't give away what the phone call is about to Sarah. When I finally hang up she looks at me expectantly.

"Well? Who was it?" Sarah asks.

"You will never believe who that was!" I exclaim excitedly and I start jumping around the room, taking Sarah by the hand as she joins in.

"Who who who? Come on, spill it!" She says whilst giggling as we bounce up and down still. I cup her cheeks with my hands as we stop jumping. I meet her eyes with a serious but still excited look.

"It was Lucy from the bar I've been doing the open mic night at. She wants be to do a solo show there this Thursday!" The sentence spills out of my mouth so fast and before I can take a breath Sarah's lips are on mine.

"I am so proud of you," Sarah says as she pulls away from the kiss. We stay in each others embrace for a while before I speak again.

"Thank you for believing in me," I say into her neck, peppering small kisses from her neck to up below her ear.

"Always." Sarah says with a sigh as she leans into my embrace.

----------------------------------------------

Thursday comes around before I know it and suddenly the idea of performing in front of a crowd is scaring the shit out of me. I've done it before but usually its an open mic and anyone can hop up on stage. This time its just me. I keep bouncing my leg up and down in the car as Sarah drives us to the bar. Sarah places a hand on my thigh to try and calm me.

"You're gonna be great, don't worry." Sarah said with a smile. I smiled back at her and gave her hand a squeeze to let her know I appreciated her trying to help.

We park outside the bar and get out of the car in silence. I take a deep breath as I'm about to step walk through the door to the bar but Sarah stops me before I can take a step. She takes my hand in hers and looks deeply into my eyes.

"You're going to kill it out there, I know it. Just remember they are here to see who you are and hear your music. Don't hold back, show them how fucking talented you are." Sarah finished her little pep talk and I couldn't help but place a kiss on her lips.

"You are the best thing that ever happened to me," I say as our foreheads rest together.

"And don't you forget it," Sarah replies jokingly and I let out a small laugh.

"You are a dork," I say, still smiling.

We exchange a loving gaze before taking each others hand and walking into the bar.

"Lets do this." I say with a new found confidence, knowing that with Sarah's support I can do anything.

A/N: This is so short I know but I have been swamped with uni work and just have felt so uninspired recently. The next chapter will be longer I promise. This chapter is pretty cheesy I'm sorry.

Thanks for sticking with me.
