Today was the day. Today Mitch came home from being on a mission for 4 months. It is safe to say I missed him endlessly, but I knew how important his job was.

Mitch was meant to come back at 17:00pm and it was 16:00pm now. As the time got closer thoughts came to my mind. 'What if he doesn't love me anymore?' 'What if on the mission he met someone else?' 'What if he just doesn't show up?'

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the doorbell going. I picked up my phone and saw the time, 16:06pm "Who the hell is that?" I muttered, getting up from the couch and walking over to the door.

With one swing the door opened and revealed a face I missed so dearly. "Mitch" I said in a whisper as a smile came towards my face. I ran into his arms and my face went into his neck. "I missed you so much" I whispered into the crook of his neck. "I missed you too, baby girl" he said making my heart flutter.

When we pulled away from the hug I looked into Mitch's brown eyes and everything felt alright.

"Y/N, I have missed you so much these past 4 months so I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you in my life forever. I love you endlessly and you make my life 100 times better." Mitch's words made a smile come to my face, but his next moves made my heart skip a beat.

He got down on one knee and started talking again. "Y/n, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, will you please marry me?"

The words "marry me" kept circling in my mind until I spoke the words my heart shouted. "Yes, a thousand times yes!"

Mitch put the ring on my finger and brought me in for a passionate kiss.

A kiss which will remind me of this moment for ever.
