Chapter 4: Decisions

Who is this?
How do they know I talked to the police?
Was the hit & run planned?
Should I still go through with identifying who hit me?

All these questions start to run through my brain when I read the note on my door.

"Woah what are we gonna do?" I hear amber say

"We?"

She turns me around, looks me in the eyes and says "Yes we,you're my boyfriend so I'm gonna stick behind you through everything. Your problems are my problems. So, what are WE gonna do about this ?"

"Well honestly I don't know. I have so many different thoughts and questions going through my head right now it's hard to decide what the right thing to do."

"Well based on the note you're obviously in danger,they obviously planned the hit and possibly planned to kill you. So the first step should be to go in the house considering that they know where you live."

We go in the house and sit on the couch. I begin to kiss her because I'm so thankful that she is there for me. I've never had someone like that. We start to get deeper and deeper into the kiss and begin to make out for about 30 minutes when amber starts to pull away .

"I'm enjoying this and everything but we really need to get to the bottom of this. You could be in danger and I don't know what I would do if anything actually happened to you."

I get a little disappointed because I honestly just want to take my mind off everything but I quickly realize that she has my best interest at heart and we really do need to figure out who's after me.

"So,do you have anyone that you know could possibly be after you? Maybe a ex-girlfriend,ex-friend,just an enemy in general?"

"Umm, I don't really have any enemies, I'm on good terms with all my ex-friends, and you're actually my first girlfriend—like ever."

I was a little embarrassed to admit to her that I had never had a girlfriend before her but she's special and she should know how special she really is.

"I-I am?" She says biting her lip

"Yeah,you are. I saw something special in you the moment we locked eyes in the hallway. I knew I wanted you to be mine."

She starts to blush and smile while pulling some of her hair behind her ear. I lean in and give her a quick peck.

"You're my first boyfriend, I gotta admit I was scared when I started to catch feelings for you because I was scared of getting hurt ,but you're such a great person I honestly can't help but take that chance"

Then I start to look down and smile while licking my lips.

"I'll never hurt you. You're like a precious flower to me. I'm going to try to the best of my ability to not hurt you and that's a promise that I'm gonna keep"

"Awnn thank you so much babe"

She wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me. I begin to pull away.

"I don't wanna ruin the mood but I can't decide if I still wanna go to the police station and identity who it was that hit me."

"It's your decision but honestly I think you should. The only way they're gonna leave you alone is if you show them that you're not scared ,and that you will take action. Plus you can possibly get them locked up."

When Amber suddenly got a text

"Ugh it's my mom again. I gotta go" she says rolling her eyes "will you be okay here without me?"

"Yeah I'll be okay,go ahead"

She leans in and pecks my lips and leaves to go home.

That night it took me hours to go to sleep contemplating whether to go to the police station. Eventually I decided to go. I have a better chance of getting that person locked up if I went than if I didn't .

The next day I woke up at about 11:00. I got up and got dressed to go to the police station. My stomach was full of butterflies. I was so nervous but I had Amber there right beside me. We went to the room where they had the glass where you can see them but they can't see you. 7 men walk out and suddenly I get a flashback of when I get hit. I can clearly see his face.

"It's number 4"

Police officers go into the room and arrest him. As they are taking him out he starts to yell

"I DIDNT WANNA DO IT! I WAS BLACKMAILED! I WAS BLACKMAILEDDD!!
