I was standing at my locker with my two besties Mia and Niyah. When all of a sudden I saw this boy walk past. His eyes locked with mine for a second but he kept walking. I started to get butterflies in my stomach. But they weren't normal butterflies. They were different. I asked Mia and Niyah if they know who he was .
"That's the new boy,I haven't really gotten anything on him,but I know half the girls in this school like him. Why?" Mia said
"Nothing,I was just wondering" I said trying to hide the fact that I was starting to like him.
The bell rang so we grabbed our books and went to class .
I got to my class and the boy was in the same class as me. I sat next to him and we smiled at each other for a second.
"Hi ,I'm Chris."
"Hi ,I'm amber."
"I guess we're desk buddies now." He said as I laughed
"yeah I guess we are"
The blush really came out in my face when he said we were desk buddies. And he just looked at me smiling.
"So since we're desk buddies ,we gotta help each other out so we should probably exchange numbers." I said trying to be smooth and get his number.
"yeah you're right".
He gave me his number and we were smiling back and forth at each other throughout the entire class period.
At the end of class when I walked out the door a notification popped up on my phone . It was a text from Chris. He said "hey😊"
