"Well today looks like a perfect day to have a picnic, don't you think my dear?" Mom always wants to spend more time with me now since Dad died. "Umm yeah Mom, maybe after work!" I yell to her across the room. "Well hurry back darling because me can't miss your brother's baseball game!" I laugh to myself thinking of little Fisher hitting the ball. I put my long blonde hair into a bun, get my bag and keys and run out the door. "BYE!" I yell to her. I quickly run to my car open the door and start the ignition. "Shit I'm going to be late" I mutter to myself.
I quickly get on my apron and get behind the counter of "S.O.S". Save Our Sweets is the nicest little cafe and bakery in California ,well in my mind. A man about six foot with long brown hair and also pretty hot if I say so myself, comes in and looks around at the teenage girls looking a magazines and talking about the cutest band member, an elderly couple sipping their tea, a business man eating alone. It was scary but intriguing how his sparkling green eyes turned dark but quickly go back to the nice jade green.
"Excuse me?" shit I was starring at him. " Um yes what would you like?" As I try to get back to Earth. "I'll have a large black coffee to go" "Okay that will be 3.50$". He gives me the cash and a little piece with his number on it. He then goes and sits down as I get his coffee ready. I quickly look at the small piece of paper then read it to myself, it has his number but also something weird, "Pretty faces don't always have a pretty heart". I read it over again what is that suppose to mean something? I say to myself . I give him his coffee and a shy smile. "Thanks Babe, call me" he said with a wink and like that he was gone leaving me blushing and thinking who is this mysterious man.
Work passed by fast. I drive home thinking about that man when and alert comes on the ratio. "Once again Harry Styles known serial killer has struck again. This morning a young girl about the age of nineteen was found in a ditch . She had no clothing on, her legs ,arms ,and throat have been- I quickly turn off the ratio not wanting to hear anything else about this sadistic killer.
