Fresh Air

The party's loud and I don't really feel like dancing so I head out onto the street. I tuck my dress underneath me as I sit in the cold, stone curb. Bram's house is kind of secluded so there won't be any cars around, thank god. About 5 minutes later I hear footsteps behind me so I whip my head around and see Simon walking towards me.
"Hey, you ok?" He asks, perching next to me.
"Yeah, I just needed some fresh air" I say, smiling at Simon in his very flattering John Lennon wig.
"Well I'm gonna head inside and grab a drink" he says, "you want one?"
"I'm good thanks" I smile as he heads inside.

Not even five minutes later, I hear the door open again and expect to see Simon but instead it's Abby, drink in hand.
"Hey Leah!" She says, sitting exactly where Simon sat. She glances up at me and I'm stunned. I'm stunned by how beautiful she looks tonight (maybe I'm just tipsy) but her eyes are something else.
"Hi" I grin and blush stupidly, I then open my mouth to say something but I think I'm lost for words. Laughing, she asks,
"Are you tongue tied?" So I blush and because I think I am.

We end up talking about anything and, pretty much, everything.
"You seem different tonight Leah, " Abby says softly, giving me one of her inquisitive looks, "more open."
"I-I dunno" I stammer (because I'm obviously a nervous mess) "maybe it's because of you"
"Really?" She asks, tilting her head gently. Before I know it she leans towards me slowly, giving me time to pull away, but I don't.

Our lips meet and I'm kissing Abby Suso of all people. Wow, ok then. Her lips are unbelievably soft to match her unbelievable kissing skills. Her hands cup my cheeks and my hands fall to her waist as we lean in closer to each other. I can feel her heart beating against my
chest and I can her her softly breathing - i think that's the only thing keeping me from thinking his is a dream because I wouldn't have imagined this to happen in a million years. This would never happen to me. It's never me.
"I can't believe this is happening." I whisper quietly between kisses.
"I can." She grins and presses her lips to mine, whilst intertwining her fingers with mine.

Ten minutes later I hear a familiar sound of the door opening followed by footsteps towards us. I break the kiss and whip my head around to see, if all people, Nick and Simon, walking towards us. As soon as they realise what's been happening, Nick's jaw drops and Simon descends into laughter - this is clearly not what he expected to see. Abby starts to laugh so I do too because it's kind of hilarious, who would of thought of this? Not me. All because of me needing some fresh air, things do go crazy, huh?
