Jealous

To be completely honest, I wasn't 100% sure I was even going to show up to this date. But Nick's a great guy, he is. I just need to get over this stupid crush on Simon, he's never going to see me that way, I learned that today.

I'm not entirely sure that Nick even wants to be on this date. Not that he's being off or anything, but we've all seen the way he looks at Abby. Then it hits me. He's jealous. Nick Eisner is jealous of Martin Addison.

This date, this is all to make Abby jealous, and to make her want to get together with Nick. I'm so dumb to not have figured that out, what did I really think? Creekwood's very own star athlete is destined to be with me?

"Leah."

He's such a dick!

"Leah!"
"Oh, yeah, sorry," I murmur.
"Um, what do you want to order?" He asks.

I'm about to tell him when
I remember i'm not on a date. I'm on a mission to make Abby Suso jealous.

"You think I want to order? You think I want to share some fucking food with you, and drink a fucking milkshake for two straws? Well tough. If that's what you want, too bad, forget it."

Nick's face is frozen. For a second I regret how much a shouted at him. Maybe I went a little overboard.

And then he leans towards me and his lips join mine. I'm shocked, yet  I don't stop. The kiss is amazing, but it's soft and sweet.

He stops after just 10 seconds, and stares at me blankly. My cheeks are flushed, I can tell.

"Maybe we should head to the game," He says after a long, awkward silence.

"Nick, seriously?"

"Just don't mention it, Leah, please."

I'm still angry, and shocked, and slightly confused. And even though Abby isn't my favourite, I can't tell her about this. Nick's right.

So we leave. We leave and go to the game, the game with Abby, the game with Nick, the game with Simon. The game that fails to distract me from what the hell just happened.
