“Don’t tell me that! Not with what happend!” yelled a voice. Clem’s eyes slowly opened to see four people surrounding her. Pete, a dark skinned large man, a caucasian black bearded young man, with a red cap that had a yellow symbol on it, who had a gun pointed at them and a dark skinned woman who seemed to be in her third trimester of pregnancy.
“Would someone mind telling me what is going on here!?” shouted another. Clem turned her head to the right to see Louis still passed out on the ground, blood spilling from his leg.
“Now hold on, Rebecca,” Pete said.
“We got this don’t worry.”
“Like hell you do!” the woman known as Rebecca growled. “Did anyone even think to ask where they came from? For all we know she could be working with Carver!” Rebecca crossed her arms and glared at the three men.“The kids already told us that they and their friend were attacked, then they were bitten by a dog,” Pete explained calmly.
“What? And you just believed them? You should’ve put them out of their misery right there. Dog bite my ass,” Rebecca muttered. Clementine leaned up on her elbows and squinted at Louis.
“Louis-
She was interrupted by a loud bang which woke up Louis.
“What the hell!?” he screamed as he jerked up.
“Keep your finger off the trigger, boy!” Pete scowled as he yanked the gun out of his hands. Louis crawled over to Clementine and wrapped his arms around her out of fear, she returned the gesture.
“Whoa! Whoa! What the hell are you guys doing!?” Luke roared as he stormed out of the cabin.
“You idiot! Every lurker for five miles probably heard that!” scowled Rebecca at the black haired man.
“You’re the one who told me to shoot them!” he replied.
“Everyone just calm down for a second!” stated the large man as he stood next to Rebecca.
“Clementine, Louis, you kids okay!?” asked Luke as he jogged over to them.
“We’re… we’re not working for anyone!” protested Clem still clinging onto Louis.
“We just need help!” Louis stated.
“We got a doctor right here, okay. He’ll have a look at you two,” Luke responded kindly as he gave the two a small grin, but then his face fell into a serious expression as he faced the group. “Now what the hell is wrong with you people!? Okay, they’re just scared!”
“We’re all scared, Luke. Don’t act like we’re the one’s being irrational because we don’t buy this story,” Rebecca snapped at Luke.
“No way these kids survived out here on their own! Why are we even arguing about this!?” followed the black haired man.
At that moment, a hispanic man with black hair, a similar style to Luke’s, he had a full moustache and a thin beard.
“Let me take a look,” He said calmly as he walked over to the two terrified children. Clementine and Louis slowly stood up as the hispanic man held out his hand signifying that he wanted to look at Clementine’s bite. Clem and Louis were hesitant they just kept hugging each other.
“It’s okay, go ahead, he’s a doctor,” Luke reassured. Clementine looked at both of them then rolled up her sleeve, she winced as she did.
“Damn, that must’ve hurt.” the large man stated as he folded his arms. Clementine revealed her bite to the man towering over them, it had a tint of purple but it was mostly red from blood. He kneeled down to her level and investigated the bite, when he placed his hands on it it made Clem sob a little bit which made Louis tightened his grip on her reassuringly.
