scenario about artemis' death, valkyrie finds out

"What are you saying, Megan?" Valkyrie asked. "I'm sorry Val, Nightwing lied to you... Artemis is alive." M'gann spoke, sorrow laced in her voice. Valkyrie didn't know what to think. Dick really lied to me? Why would he lie about it? she thought. "I'm gonna go talk to him." Valkyrie walked out of the kitchen/living room and went to the Zeta tube room. There she saw Nightwing, tapping away, probabbly hacking something.

She walked up to him in her suit, "Can we talk?" Nightwing flinched from the sudden voice. "Sure, what's up?" he faintly smiled at his girlfriend. "Were you ever gonna tell me?" she crossed her arms over her chest. "Tell you what, babe?" He made the computer windows dissapear before walking over to her. She took a faint step back. His eyebrows rose in suprise.

She put a hand on his shoulder and teleported them to a secluded part of the cave. Sighing, she spoke again; "Were you ever going to tell me that what happened to Temi, didn't really happen?" His eyes widened before the mask, she cut him off before he could speak. "M'gann told me what really happened! She isn't really dead! How could you do this to the team, but worse, me?! You made me think my best friend was dead!" she sneered.

"Thara wait-" he tried. "Don't Thara me, you lied right in my face Grayson!" she shouted, slowly shaking. "I had to do this, otherwise this mission would not succeed!" he fired back. "So you put us all through this emotional trauma, all of us, just so your little mission can be a success?! What kind of a friend does that?!" she yelled back, tears threatening to spill.

Dick knew that Kythar'a only cried when she was really upset. And this time, he may have overstepped it. "I made this decision as the team leader! Noone was supposed to know about this!" At this point, they were plainly yelling at each other. "What about Wally- Oh my gosh, Wally was in this too?! That explains why he wasn't so sad about it. And don't tell me Kaldur was in this too!" a single tear rolled down her cheek.

Dick reached out to wipe it away, but she grabbed his hand mid-way. "Don't fucking touch me, Grayson! You knew damn well what was going to happen if you betray my trust." she wiped the tears away herself. "But what's even worse, what are you going to tell the team once the plan foils." she let out a sarcastic chuckle and shook her head.

"I-" she clamped her gloved hand over his mouth, "Give me three good reasons why I shouldn't just walk out of here once again. You know you cannot track me down. Oh wait, you lost your chance, such a shame." She put the domino mask off his eyes, blue piercing turquiose. "I'm not sorry for anything. I opened up to you, I warned you that if you betray my trust it's over. Seems like it is."

His eyes widened, he let out some muffled words, before feeling Valkyrie's hand pull away. "The door will be back once I'm completely gone." She suddenly appeared behind the door, it slowly closing. "Bye, babe!" she blew him a kiss before the doors shut. Dick yelped in realization before running to the door, trying to kick it open, unsucceeding as the door had dissappeared within the wall. Damn her magic he thought.

Valkyrie walked into the kitchen, where most of the team was gathered. "Hey guys, I'm afraid I must leave you again." she spoke, actual sadness laced in her voice. "All of you know where to visit me. You don't actually know the location, but when you want to be with me, you'll get there." Valkyrie smiled as M'gann walked over to her and gave her a hug. They exchanged smiles, and Valkyrie went to hug the rest of the team. "Be good you two, I'm relying on it." She ruffled Tim and Gar's hair before moving onto Barb to hug her too.

After she said goodbye to everyone, she took out the hairpin she had in her hair and made it vanish in her palm. M'gann and Wonder Girl walked to the Zeta tubes with her. She typed in a location, waving the girls goodbye before walking into the tube.

Recognized. Valkyrie B-1-9.

She disappeared and a minute later Nightwing came rushing in. "No..." he whispered, running over to M'gann and Cassie. "Is she gone? Please tell me she isn't!" he panicked. M'gann frowned at him. "I'm sorry, you must have messed up this time." Nightwing exhaled, "You told her, right?" he asked. M'gann nodded, "I had to. It was for the better." Nightwing glared at her quickly, before speedwalking over to the Zeta tube control panel.

Last location: Unknown

"Dammit!" he slammed his fist on the control panel. Dora was right when she told him that her home planet or location cannot be retraced by the Zeta tubes. M'gann and Cassie left meanwhile, when suddenly a small bright light flashed over his features. A small, feathery object with sparkles was placed in his palm. Valkyrie's hairpin. His eyes widened and he felt like crying. He lost an important person and he didn't know how to find them.

It was really over.
