  When I first saw you I was in shock. I'd never seen a girl so pretty. But I was just a bad boy. The kind girls wanted to fix. When you came up to me at lunch I was even more shocked. I knew you had heard about me from other students. But you seemed unfazed by my look and reputation which drew me to you more.

But you was sneaking out your window every night, riding shotgun in my car

To everyone's surprise we started dating. Well it was more secret rendezvous. With me trying to climb out my window. We used to ride around for hours. Just free no reason to worry. I learned to live from you. We'd always go to the park and sit by the river watching the moon reflect on the water. I remember we had our first kiss there and all our other firsts.

We were young. Even if I knew better in the moments we shared I never cared. We like all teenagers thought it would last forever. But we wanted different things. You wanted to get a degree while I was fine with just getting a job. We fought about it every now and again. But we always apologize and settled it. We thought we would work.

When we decided to break up I cried a bit for the first time in years. You were my everything I loved you. While you were gone I got a job and a house to live out my days hoping you come back. At night my mind wondered to all the nights we spent you in my arms as we talked for hours on end. All our whispers to one another only heard by the moon.

I missed you. All though my years of college. I had a boyfriend thought that time but I never felt the way I did with you. Me and you were supposed to be forever I was going to be your wife. Often I'd find myself wanting to call you to hear your voice and to ask how you've been without me. But I never had the courage to.

So you came back after a long four years
Your college boyfriend didn't work out
So we went out for a couple of drinks to find out who we are now

I'd finally come back to our town after college. My first thought was you. To my surprise you weren't hard to find. Walking to the park we used to hang out at there you were. You jumped on me crying whispering yes over and over to me. I hugged you tightly as if you'd disappear. You pulled me into a kiss and slipped the ring on your finger smiling thought happy tears. I knew I'd done well from the joy in your eyes as you stared at me. We had a lot of firsts in that park by the lake but by far this was my favorite. Because I knew you'd be mine forever.
