Marinette's pov

My parents called me so I'm here with them

"Marinette darling, we called you because we are going to discuss about a very important matter" My mom said

"We decided to pass the throne to you on your 18th birthday" Dad continues what my mother is telling me

"And because of that, you will have to pick a husband before your birthday and the two of you will rule the kingdom, your suitor will arrive tomorrow, we already invite some princes in every kingdom" Dad finished his words

"WHAT!!" I shouted, shocked by the news

"You heard me clearly young lady"

"But I can't MARRY a MAN I just MET"

"Marinette, you need someone by your side and be with you forever it's for your sake and the kingdom, please understand darling" My mom explained

"I understand that you want me to have someone but I want to marry the person I want to be with and even I don't marry someone I could run the kingdom properly all by myself" I told them with a hint of sadness and irritation
"I think it's best if I go to my room again,bye" I said going back with only despair in my voice

"Marinette! Marinette!"I heard my dad calling my name but I didn't dare to look back instead I continued to walk

Ones I got back to my bedroom I lay myself into the king size bed. As I was about to sleep someone knock on my bedroom door

"Come in"I said tired

Then someone entered,I take a glance to the door to see who it was and it's just Alya

"Girl, I heard your conversation with your parents and I understand what you feel and I know how hard it is to accept that but you have to do it,for your kingdom" She lectured me

"But all I want is live a life with someone I love and trust with all of my heart but they want me to marry a prince that I don't even know and I don't want to spend time with them" I said to her while lifting my self in a sitting position

"You know" She said while sitting beside me
"You have to take a little risk in able to solve your problem, now tell me, what will happen if you marry a prince?" She continues with a question

"I'll be dead if that happens"

"Okay that's not a right question to be asked, how about, if someone wants something that is important to you in exchange for your life, what will you do?" She asked me again

"I'll give them that thing even though it is special for me?"

"See,even that is so valuable for you you have to sacrifice it,just like your situation right now"

"I don't know I don't really have much time to think about it, I'm tired of all of this" I said while laying to bed again and closing my eyes but Alya told me something that make me fill my energy

She told me that my mom secretly told her to take me outside

"What are we waiting for come on!!!"i told her excitedly

"Wait, hold up"

"Whats the matter?"

"I thought you said you're tired"

"Well,not anymore, now come on"

"Wait!!"she shouted again

"What is it this time?"
