Despite the slow pace at which their relationship was progressing, Keira found herself increasingly drawn to Klaus in ways she had never experienced before. She had never had an experience with romance or love, so her emotions were confusing and overwhelming at times.
Still, whenever she was around Klaus, she felt a deep sense of warmth and comfort, which she relished. She felt like she could be herself around him and didn't need to hide any of her flaws or weaknesses from him.
Even though the process was gradual, the connection between them was slowly deepening.
Considering his past history and experiences with romantic encounters and relationships, it was indeed a unique role for Klaus to take on the teaching and mentoring role with Keira.
It was a role that also required great patience and understanding of the delicate emotions and feelings involved in such matters.

Amongst the developments during the reunion, one significant occurrence was the discontinuation of the connection between Keira and Elijah.
This absence of connection was apparent to the younger Guardian, whose lack of awareness regarding the elder Original's emotions made her puzzled and perplexed.
In addition to her confusion, she also held an underlying tone and tinge of anger towards that of Elijah, in regards to his apparent avoidance of her, seemingly without any reason.
As Elijah, the elder of the two, had been a mentor and teacher to Keira, it was apparent that she had expectations of continuing that bond and connection, particularly after assuming her duties as the new family guardian.
However, unaware of his feelings, the Guardian failed to realize and comprehend the true circumstances, as she misinterpreted his actions, deeming it a betrayal.
Though such an interpretation on her part was incorrect and unfair towards Elijah, the underlying cause of his actions was understandable, in his bid to prevent any further development of romantic sentiments for her.
