YEARS LATER

Life was never going to be easy for the Mikaelson's, but then again, when is life ever easy for anyone?

Keira and Niklaus, had only just begun there lives together, and as immortals, time was not sacred, in fact, time was in their hands.

The beginning, for them, it was just predator and prey, and it was definitely not the healthy start of a relationship, but the small little things that occurred during that time.

When Keira had no memories, and Niklaus, was intrigued by her, had been something that hit a small spark, that connected them.

Throughout the years, working through the relationship, it was not something they had expected to become a life that turned out normal, especially, since the two, had been in the work of not walking around eggshells.

The past was painful, and it was not brought up for the pair since they just wanted to focus on the present.

The most shocking outcome of the pair, was Niklaus and Keira, moving away far from anything that connected them to the past.

It was not easy at first since Keira was the Guardian for the family, but she knew the connection would always remain there—no matter the distance.

The pair had adjusted to just focusing on their own life, but when one comes to life another is born, as the shocking news came, to bringing any children in the world seemed impossible, it had happened.

Which had caused panic for the couple, considering, Niklaus was an immortal, but for Keira who was still human despite her life in immortality it had caused a strain in the pair's relationship at first, since it would lead to—how it was possible?

Considering, the circumstances—but thankfully for Freya, it had stopped all the accusations, but it was far from over.

The pair had been married a few years, but with what came was the family, who had stood by there side, to prove that they were Mikaelson's, and when are anything in their lives, going to be normal.

Keira had only been 5 months in the pregnancy, as she sat in a chair in the middle of there home, garden, as she soaked in the rays of the sun, and taking in the air of nature.

Keira, was scared, of bringing a child into the world, it was never set in her mind—ever.

"Keira? Are you okay?" Rebekah had walked over, to Keira, seeing as she had been staying at the couple's home since the news of her pregnancy.

"Yes, just really trying to take this all in, I just feel like it's a dream" Keira mumbled, but knew Rebekah could hear her

"For what it's worth, everyone is happy about it" She confessed to Keira who let out a chuckle as she gently rubbed her stomach.

"I hope—I did not disappoint Niklaus" She admitted, it was true, Niklaus was still having a hard time, of believing it was true, it was more that he was angry with himself for blaming his own wife for sleeping with another when he knew she would never do that to him.

"Nik is just throwing a tantrum, and the guilt is eating him, so let him continue that, he'll get over it, and besides, you have me and the others, if he tries to run, we'll drag him back" Rebekah grumbled at the last part, as Keira let out a small sigh, as she continued to rub her stomach.
