"Huff, puff.... Red, where should I move this?" Mashu asked
Red gestured to the closet
"Okay. So it goes in the closet..." She approached and touched the closet only to remember her senpai making her tear up a tiny bit
"B-because we've been so busy the whole year, things have gotten quite messy." She said trying to hide her sadness and keep her cool which somehow gone unnoticed by red
"For this long overdue spring cleaning, Mashu Kyrielight will do her very best!" She said trying to sound excited
"Fou, fou!" Fou said
Mashu asks Fou to wait patiently somewhere, and he does so a bit dejectedly. The door opens and Da Vinci comes, greeting you with a smile.
"Ah, it's the procrastinating devil." Red jokingly said
"It's true" Da Vinci admitted, "...but you shouldn't say it to my face." She rebutted
"Da Vinci-chan..." Mash stared at Da Vinci
'Well, it's also part of my job to observe the physical condition of the two people in here!" Da Vinci states "Well, one person, I really do wonder where the Ristukas run off to"Da Vinci with a very curious tone making Mash's heart hurt a little "Ah, but if the staff come asking about my whereabouts, don't tell them that I'm in here. See, a genius requires three times as much rest as the average person. In exchange, they're thirty times as efficient in their work." Da Vinci says with a smirk
Mashu pouts and Red just looks disappointed at Da Vinci's excuses and Mash gets back to her work of cleaning up the room. Finding one of Gudao belongings, yet again giving her heart a small pain, she asks Red where Gudao would like to put it. Red asks her to put it in the shelves, and as she does so, she notices a lot of dust piled up on top of the shelf. Mashu decides to clean that up while she's at it, Red proceeds to start playing with Fou.
"R-e-d!This may be senpai's room, but you should help clean up too! ... stop grinning like that!"
"...it's so peaceful." Red said with a happy tone
After some time, Mash suggests that all of you take a bit of a break as Da Vinci is also here. She'll go get the tea. Fou tags along with her as she leaves the room.
"She's completely full of spirit again, but---" Da Vinci ends in a worrying tone
"What's wrong?" Red asked
"I'm not sure. The results of the tests came back perfect. Her cellular tissue has been revived to be the same as any girl in her teens, and her nerves and blood vessels are all as good as new. However, that is only in terms of normal people. The vast magical energy of a Demi-Servant she used to possess is no more, and her Magic Circuits seem to be rusted shut." Da Vinci says this like she is giving a speech while red just listens interested "Yeah, yours and the master's knowledge of magecraft has expanded greatly in this past year, so you understand that Magic Circuits are something that can last a lifetime, right?" She questions Red to which he nods
Da Vinci proceeds to give a brief explanation on Magic Circuits. When a mage uses magecraft, the Magic Circuits in their body are switched on. By doing so, the circuits become active, and the use of magecraft becomes possible. Of course, when they are not in use, the circuits are switched off. In other words, the switch itself is always there, and whether or not magecraft can be used depends on whether the switch is in an on or off state.
"Right now, Mashu's problem is that the circuits cannot be turned on, rather than there being any problem with the state of the circuits themselves." She says trying to make sense of it all "Perhaps it makes more sense to describe it as something holding the switch in position, preventing it from being turned on?" She said very unsurely
