Start of a new life

I stepped off the plane into the chilly cold air. I could see my breath when I breathed. I warmed my hands by blowing on them even though they already had gloves on them. It's always cold here in England, that's what I had always heard. It barely even gets hot here. My mom seriously had to go and marry someone that didn't wanna live in California, where I had grown up? I'm fed up with the moving part but him being rich and I get to meet hot British guys? That's what convinced me he was alright. Mom got into the company car, which was very nice by the way, while my new stepdad was telling the driver to get our bags off the private jet we arrived on. I was just standing there awkwardly with two of my suitcases and my purse with my phone and headphones. The rest of my clothes are on the jet now getting lugged into the car. My new stepdad, Leonard, I call him Leo, told me to leave all my furniture so I sold it and made a lot of money, he had told me he had already had the perfect room for a 17 year old girl like myself, I really hope it is perfect.

"Hey,sweetie. Why don't you put your bags in the trunk and hop in the car, it's really warm in here. I don't want you to spend your first days here sick in bed." My mom said with a worried look on her face. "OK, mom calm down. I'm 17, not 7." I told her while rolling my eyes. "I know honey, but you'll always be a baby to me."

I got into the car and put my headphones in and put my phone on Sleeping With Sirens and closed my eyes trying to imagine what the rest of my life would be like. I would have to take another drivers test since the steering wheel is on the other side of the damn car and I'd have to drive on the other side of the freaking rode. I mean what the actual fuck. The money's different too, even the school. Instead of having the president, I have kings and queens now. Instead of saying the Pledge of Allegiance, I now have to learn the British pledge. Everything is going to be so difficult for me. I hope I can fit in.

I opened my eyes to find my mom waving her hand over my face telling me that we are here. I looked out the window and my mouth dropped open.

"Oh sweet baby Jesus, you lied to me. This isn't a house, it's a mansion." I practically yelled. Leo started laughing saying this was a house to him and I grabbed all five of my bags and other belongings and started to look for my room. "Your room has your name on the door" Leo yelled up the stairs. I looked down the long hallway and saw like 10 doors. I finally found a door that had K.D. on it in gold. I silently laughed because he knows I hate when he calls me that. I let go of my bags and twisted the beautifully crafted door knob slowly as if I'm scared to open it. Finally I just push it open. I can not believe what my eyes are seeing, did I just die? Am I in heaven? This room is the most perfect room ever. It's like rooms you see pretty Tumblr girls having. The walls are a light blue while the floor is wood. There's a flat screen tv right across from the queen sized bed on a wall with grey bedside tables on each side. The bed is black itself and the comforter is a grey and blue kind of mixture. There's a sitting area over by a balcony where I can almost see all of London. I can see Big Ben in the distance and that huge ferris wheel beside/infront of it. There are pictures of my friends and me and ones of my mom and me and ones of just me on the tables and walls. My mom must have done this when she came here with Leo a few months ago. Everything is so beautiful.

I set my bags on my bed and start unpacking my clothes. I made around $1,550 when I sold my furniture from my old room. I'll have to get Leo to take me somewhere so I can exchange it for European money. Apparently now that I'm rich, I'm going to shop at some big stores before I start school in a month. I went to the closet and tried to pull

the door open but it wouldn't budge. I saw a button that said push so I pushed it. The closet door slid open and lights turned on. It was a full on walk-in closet. Places for my shoes and purses and scarfs and hats and clothes and...everything!! I'm seriously going to have to fill this amazing closet with amazing clothes! I walked over to the bathroom to see what else I'd be amazed by and and I walked in and saw a see through shower with 3 knozzle things and a huge bath/jacoozie and a big mirror with two sinks an places for my make-up. I have TONS of make-up, every year I get this big 3 year supply thing and and contains a lot of make-up for only $150.

I go down stairs to see what everyone's doing and see a german shepherd puppy sitting with a note around his neck. It has slobber on it but I can still kinda tell what it says

"Hey, K.D. this is a gift from your mom and me. This puppy was sitting in the store and looking out the window and your mom just freaked and said you had to have it so we got it. You name it what you want, he's yours. We left to go to a hotel in town for a meeting, we will be home next Wednesday. By the way, we got his balls removed so no puppy's with my Candy."

Love,

Leo and Jane.

Great. It's Sunday now. I have this huge house to myself and no one to throw a party with. But this puppy is soooo cute. I'm going to name him K-9 to go along with K.D.
