Nova's POV:
I woke up to someone jumping on my bed.I open my eyes and see the most unexpected person: my big sister,Nikki!!!She jumps off my bed and smiles at me.I jump out of bed and tackled her.I haven't seen her since...nevermind.
"Get off me lardo!"She laughs.I get off and help her up.
"Now,when did you get here!"I practically scream in her face.
"Last night at midnight,Dad came and picked me up at the airport!Guess what?"She said.
"What?!"I said anxiously.
"I get to live here with you guys!"She jumps up and down.I hug her,and we head down for breakfast.For a few minutes,I forget everything that happened yesterday.Like I said,for a minute.
"Hey what's wrong,Nov?"She asked me.Once again,I realized my dad wasn't home.I tell my sister,everything that has happened since I last saw her,and she frowns.
"Well,then,that means,today we have to...GO TO THE BEACH!!!"She screams.
"Nikki,you almost busted my eardrum!"I laugh,causing her to laugh also.We both go upstairs,and get ready.I put on a hot pink bikini with white shades,and Nikki wears an orange bikini and orange shades.I throw on a white tank top,and blue jean shorts with stars on it.Nikki puts on a black tank top,and white shorts.We slip on white flip flops,and head out.My hair is wavy,and Nikki's is straight,so I bring a hair tie.
*Skip to the beach*
Nova's POV:
We arrive at the beach,and immediatly notice two groups of guys.I look to the group pon my left and see Brent and his friends.I quickly turn my head back to Nikki.
"What do you want to do?"She asked me.I threw down my stuff,and ran into the water.I dived under for a few seconds,and came back up.When I came back up,I felt a eyes on me.When I turned my head,I saw Carter and the guysThey were smiling and coming my way.I ran out of the water,and to them.My sister followed me.Almost immediatly,I was engulfed in a hug by Hayes.I flinched out of habit,but hugged back.Then came Carter,Matt,Cameron,Nash,Jack,Jack,Shawn,Taylor,and finally...Aaron.After that,I introduced the guys to my sister,and vise-versa.Her and Aaron really hit it off.I don't know what to think anymore.I mean,just a few days ago,these same 9 guys that are now my supposed "friends" bullied me,and are the reason I have scars on my arms.I almost forgot,MY SCARS!I quickly hide my wrists,eventhough the guys have already seen them.As soon as I do,I get dragged by my wrist away from the group.I turn to see who it is,and realize that it's Hayes.
"Hey."He said while scratching the back of his neck.
"Hi."I respond.I still don't fully know if I can trust them.
"Are you okay?You know with everything that happened?"He asked obviously refering to yesterday.
"Yeah,I'm fine,but I don't know.What did I do to make Brent so angry?"I ask on the verge of crying.Sensing that,Hayes pulls me into a hug,and rubs my back.
"Nova,you didn't do anything,Brent's just stupid if he got mad.I mean,you're beautiful,nice,funny,and always try your best to please everyone.I just don't think he's the right guy for you."He calmly said.Wait..WHAT?!
"Hayes-"
"Nova,don't do this to yourself!"He screamed.I looked down at the visible scars on my wrist that I didn't bother hiding,and yanked my arm away from Hayes.
"Nova just tell me why,why did you do this?"He asks with glossy eyes.Was this a serious question?Are you kidding me?!
"You want to know why?!"I scream at the blue eyed boy in front of me,"You!You and you friends are the reason why!For years,you have bullied me,and made the whole school hate me!You made me hate myself.The 9 guys that I had once called my best friends,tortured me for years!Do you know how that feels?Terrible!Everyday,I got comments saying:Why don't you just end it already?No one would miss you.No one loves you,that's why you're dad's never home.Look,your mom even died to get away from you!I started listening,but I never cut to deep,I always hope I don't wake up.So there,THAT'S why I did this."Hayes just stands there shocked,and I can feel the other guys's eyes on me.I turn on my heels and run.I run and run,until I find myself at a park.I sit on a bench that is underneath some trees,and just...rest.I look at my phone and realize that I have 5 missed messages,mostly from my sister.I ignore them and put my phone back in my pocket when someone taps my shoulder.I turn around and see a dirty blonde boy with green eyes.
"Hi,I'm Devin."He says.
"Hi,I'm Nova."I respond.He sits down next to me.
"So,why are you here alone?"He asks.
"Just thinking."
"Oh,fun,well,I have to go,but here's my number,we should hang out!"He hands me a peice of paper with his number on it and leaves.My phone buzzes,and I am geting a call.I check it and it's from Nikki,so I answer.
*Phone Conversation:
Nova:Hello?
Nikki:Nova!WHERE ARE YOU?!
Nova:The park.
Nikki:WHAT PARK?!
Nova:The one on corner of 3rd and Flatte
Nikki:STAY THERE!I AM COMING TO GET YOU!
Nova:Okay,bye.
Nikki:Bye
*End of Call*
I wait until a car pulls up.Next thing I know,I'm engulfed into a hug by...Hayes?We get in the car and drive off.The whole ride to my house was silent.Awkward silence.
*Skip ride*
We pull into the drive way.I step out of the car and walk striaght inside the house not saying anything.Soon after,I hear Nikki come in.
"I'm going to sleep!"I scream.
"Okay,but we ARE talking about this later!"She responds.
"Whatever!"I put on a pair of blue pajamma bottoms with clouds on them,and a gray pajama tank top.I throw my hair into a high pony.I plug my phone in and lay down.Within minutes,I drift off to sleep.
