Prologue:

"You honestly thought that I would love someone like you?" He spoke and my heart stopped. In those few seconds my world collided and all hell broke loose, untill the sword smashed into my chest and stone took the place of blood that once pumped to help me live.

"What?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper.

He chuckled darkly, "I could never love such an unsuccessful woman. Your a failure to society, a nobody, and in the end you will be nothing, no greater than a grain of sand."

Tears brimmed my eyes, but I refused to cry, so I smiled.

"You know your right." I said confidently, and kicked him off his balance.

"I am? Of course I am." He said cockliy, glaring as though I had taken away his candy.

"Yes, I am a failure, but with failing comes falling and eventually the wound heals, and you get back up again." He looked at me confused. "We will see in the end, who is nothing."

And with those words I turned my back away from the man I once loved, took a step forward, and left.
