The New Girl (BOOK 1)

Summer's POV

Hi I'm Summerella Boissiere, I go by Summer. I just moved into California a few days ago I'm still getting use to the environment but I miss my friends at my old school in Atlanta.

My mom had gotten a better job here in Cali so we moved here, and to be honest I didn't want to move here. I know for a fact some people here judge.

(Not saying that this is true in any way that's very stereotypical and I love California)

My first day of school is tomorrow and I'm so nervous.  This will be my last year in highschool and I'm so happy.

But enough talking about me let's get on with this damn story.

*The middle of the day*

I go downstairs and look for my mom and sister Paisley. 

I found a note hanging on the fridge it read,

"Dear Summer, Paisley and I  will be out for a few hours I left you my card if you get hungry don't do anything that will get you into some trouble. Sincerely, mom♥️

I shook my head "As if I had any friends here" I said out loud. She acting like I have some damn friends here.  I snickered.

I grabbed the keys to my sister's car and I grabbed my mom's card I  left and went to the nearest mall.

I thought if they were going to be out for a few hours why not go out and have some "me time" to myself for a few hours.

When I finished shopping I decided to go to the food court cuz a bihh is starving.

I grabbed me some Subway. When I get in line ready to order the guy that's taking my order looked me up and down. I acted like I didn't see him do it though.

When I payed for my food he look at me very hard. "Do I know you from somewhere" he asked. Then I shook my head "I don't think we have, what's your name" "Prince" Then I instantly remembered a name like that from grade school. I smiled and looked up at him. "I'm Summer I remember you from grade school now" He smiled. Thankfully no one was in line cuz they would've been some mad costumers.  "How have you been" he said starting a conversation. "I've been great I just moved here earlier this week, how have you been"  I said. "I've been good what school are you going to" he asked curiously. "I'm going to Whitney Highschool" "That's great I go there" "Well now I have a friend to hang with" "Yeah girl I have some other friends I want you to meet there too" "Bet, well I talk to you later Prince" I waved. "You too Summer" he smiled about to help the next customer.

*Back at home*

I was greeted by my mom with a warm smile. I ate my sandwich and went upstairs to get ready for my first day.  Now that I know Prince is going to be there I feel less nervous. I took my clothes out and got ready for bed until Paisley came in my room to tell me goodnight. "You ready for tomorrow" she asked. "As ready as I can be sis" I said. "Well don't worry we're in the same school so you have nothing to worry about" "I guess" I said. "Well, goodnight sis."

Night.
