Both sasuke and saya got that usual comment of" are you dating.." though everyone knew that sasuke had a wife still many believed they were dating because of the aura between them.
And how sasuke acted with ease around his dude.
Saya and Sasuke always chuckled upon a comment, with Saya replying
"I am his dude"
The gave the vibe of ' more than best friends, but less than lover' vibe.
The love between them is sophisticated, did they love each other? yes, platonically? totally, neither of them would imagine sleeping with the other, but also they also can't imagine their lives without each other.
When Naruto decides to send sasuke to a mission, sasuke always takes Saya with him.
He even took saya with him to buy sarada's new kimono.
They both worked in harmony, they read each other mind, sasuke thought that no one can read his mind like hers, they can finish a nine hours mission just in three hours.
Each knew what to do, and how to work together.
No wonder why they are now so called 'the best team ever' even when they wonder where saya and sasuke they refer to them as 'where is the best team ever'.
After their usual missions they would sprawl on the ground, enjoy the silence, talks about any and everything.
Sasuke loved to tell her whats inside, or what to do in such situations, he knew she would listen, never judge and give him the right answer and the right thing to do.
He loved to tell her more about itachi, and she as well told him about valerian, that she wants to take him there after she finishes her target.
She also tells him that she just wanted to live a normal life, not a warrior's, have a husband kiss her goodbye.
He mocks her a-lot by saying that the one who will marry her is surly the unluckiest man.
They fall into giggles and laughs.
During one of their missions,  while they sprawled on the ground, sasuke thought what she will do after she finishes her mission, and felt his stomach tied into nots by the idea of her leaving earth, going home.
He cracked the question of "will you... leave after... "
but saya giggled, pulled her self up, smacked his forehead, kissed his cheeks and said
"Family never leave" she smiled.

Sasuke's birthday was on the corner, so Saya decided to tell Naruto that she is thinking of throwing a party for sasuke.
She actually baked him a tomato cake, Tomato soup, and tomato juice.
Though sasuke was going to throw up from the taste of a tomato cake, but he was ultimately happy about her thoughtful acts.
No one thought to throw him a party before, he felt warmth, all his friends and family around.
She also brought to him a pendant, tomato one, that was split into two, she took one, gave him one.
She told him its his to keep it at all times.
It shows the deepness and resembles their friendship.

She even brought a gift for sakura and gave it to him, so he would surprise his wife.
Sarada also started liking Saya, Saya  brought her gifts, and trained with her and boruto, as she promised boruto.
Sasuke referred to saya as "sarada's aunt"
Sasuke and Saya trained boruto.
Saya made sure to train him, and protect boruto, boruto was lary's next target.
He had the Byakugan from his mother.
He would make the next perfect warrior.
Saya would have been, but she ran away before they placed the microchip inside her to control all her actions.

Hinata heard a wince coming from the bathroom, Saya was in there, she knocked
"Saya is everything alright" she said worriedly
"Uh..i.. i am fine" Saya stuttered.
"Sure.." hinata now was worried
"Yes hina chan"
Though Saya's body was somehow resistant to pain, nothing felt like cutting back her own chest across, to insert her heart.
By inserting her heart, only one stab through her full heart now would send her to the after life.
Her body was full of nanotechnology that helped her heal, so she was partially immortal, unable to die easily, with gadgets inside her arms and legs.
Saya only wished she would be normal.
Though her mind was flowing back and forth, couple of months back she wished to die.
Now she has a purpose, she was scared to die, to leave her friend alone.
What will he do when she is gone? Who would finish the mission with him in harmony, throw punches back and forth, listen to his stories and give him advices, sprawl with him on the ground to enjoy silence.
