"Some say the world revolves around themselves, a bit egotistical but I can understand that.
Others say the world revolves around a person. Not my thing but I understand where they are going at.
And then there are those that say the world revolves around a group of people.
A group with so much power, they might as well own the world.
To say my job is to stop those people would be an understatement.
My whole life revolves around this city, the streets I know by heart, the sounds of the bustling cars and the lights at night fill me with a warmth hotter than the sun itself.
And if there is one thing I plan to leaving this world behind with, it's going to be to finally make this city safe. Not just for me. But for everyone.
No matter the cost, No matter the bloodshed.
This feud will finally be over.
So we'd better start prepping for war."
Chapter 1 The Don's Meeting with a "friend"
"The Don will be seeing you now."
I hear a distinct high pitched voice say down the halls, and hardly a moment later I see the man of the hour show up.
"Chad, good to see you!" I say, "You know why you're here right?"
"I haven't the foggiest." He lies, it's so obvious when people like, but as the boss, it's just my duty to know these things.
"Oh, so you're telling me you have not been in contact with a certain sheriff, tall, handsome, the one you're not supposed to be speaking to?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about!" He's a good liar, but I know better.
"Well then," I say, putting on my most reassuring voice, "in that case, you can go then!"
"Really?" He sounds quite relieved, he's never been the brightest. I give him a nod as he goes to walk out, lucky me I had Natsuki there to close it.
"Actually," I say, "I have a better idea".
