THE GLARE. 01.

Everyone has a life, every single person you walk past on your way to the bus stop, every person you smile at, every person that snaps back at you, they all have a life.

We may not know what's going on in their life, but at least keep that in your mind. That everyone has their secrets, everyone has their pains, their weaknesses, and their hardships.

"We could have walked past a serial killer," I chimed, grasping at my best friends bicep. Bella only laughed and nodded her head.

"You could have looked in the mirror and seen a psychopath," she replied, before laughing. "Really, you overthink literally everything."

"Did you know the average person walks past a murderer 36 times in their life. We are average people, Bella."

Bella rolled her eyes and tried not to laugh as she scaled the steps towards our university.

"What if you had a friend that was a murderer, you would be seeing one like, everyday. A murderer."

"Oh my," I gasped. "imagine if we were both murderers."

Bella was almost a whole head taller then me, her long blonde hair glittering against the sun light, and her smile, it made everyone swoon. She was perfect, and she loved me for my weirdness, she even joined in at times.

"Why are you so interested in killers?" Bella asked, her eyes furrowed as our bodies continued to stay linked as we walked through the uni.

My first class was Phycology, our class actually had an assignment on serial killers, which got me excited already. Bella's was animal science, we would have to part ways soon. But I didn't want to, I hated sitting alone in class.

"I'm interested in them because they enjoy killing, and it's weird to think that someone enjoys the feeling of stabbing another, or touching them as they're dead. We're all capable of terrible things, but the fact that certain people go to lengths of killing is.... interesting."

"Interesting?" Bella scoffed, but didn't seem to be annoyed by my strange interest. "I feel like you're going to die from getting into the middle of a killing spree."

"Doesn't sound that bad," I shrugged my shoulders and laughed at the face Bella made. "I would rather die being murdered then die in my sleep."

Some people gave off disgusted looks at the words I said as I walked past. I smiled at them so they knew I could see them.

"I gotta get to my class," Bella whined, "I'll talk to you at break."

I smiled in return, and left for my class down the hall. I really hated how Bella and I didn't share any classes, but in a way we wouldn't get distracted with each other. We both had different directions.

To me, the lecture was incredibly interesting, but there were times where he was retelling us the same stories, and the same information we had learnt last class.

The seat beside me was empty, so when I looked up towards the door opening, and the student that was always late, walk in, I knew today he would sit beside me.

Well obviously, this is the closest seat, the only empty seats or on the other side of the room.

He walked up the stairs and moved to pull the chair out beside me. I tried to ignore the strangely mixed smell of vanilla and metal, and zoned onto the doodles on my notes.
