Jealousy

You were running down the street to school, being late as usual. Your mind was full of thoughts especially jealousy... Last night you were talking to your cousin Emma and all she had been talking about was BTS. You liked kpop music and EXO was your favorite group, hers not really. You knew BTS enough and you would love to go to their concert with Emma but she is going with her father. I, on the other hand, don't have enough money to buy the cheapest ticket. She was always luckier, better and prettier than you, so no wonder jealousy is overtaking your mind.

"Y/N!!" ,you heard your best friend calling you in front of the school.
"Hurry up, we're gonna be late!!"

Laila is an amazing friend who I really love, but I don't really open up to people that much... Your trust had been broken for a very long time. Past is still haunting you.
"Were you writing songs and singing until 2 AM again!?" , Laila asked in a funny tone. I may not open up to her that much but she still knows me too well.
"Yeah, I did but its really bad. I'm not amazing at singing or dancing like my cousin. Everyone is telling her she is great and I agree, but nobody knows that I want to do that in the future too, not go to school and be a doctor later!"
You knew she can't help you, but even someone listening to you is enough.
"And whose problem is that? I love you Sara but if you want to sing and dance, tell your parents somehow and improve. You sing just like everyone else who has a good voice, it's you who is gonna choose whether you're a normal singer and dancer who loves to do that and spend rest of your life like that or to be a smart but annoyed doctor all the time. Now let's hurry because we are already late to class!"
She was right and I hate myself because of the jealousy I felt this morning.
