Arjun Shekhawat sat there next to his beloved, only lord knows for how long. He wasn't sure how to react, should he cry?let his let down his wall and allow his emotions to flow? Or should he let his emotions build up and use it as a weapon against the hunters in the fight? The second part even though as tempting as it sounded, Arjun wanted to be the first person in front of Naina, when she opens her eyes. So an attack for now was on a hold..
His black orbs travelled to her visage; pale and tired. It looked the same as it did, when her step mother; Elina had disowned her. He felt an unexplainable amount of rage build inside him:Elina, had always been able to do more damage than she can afford to do. The woman has no regards for love, family, friends nothing. Her only concern was and remains is herself. Wonder how was she gifted with a soulmate.
Lost in his thoughts he missed the fact that his lady love was now starting to wake up..
"Hey..hey.. easy there! wait a minute let me go and get Swayam, real quick!" Arjun muttered as he made her sit now comfortably on the bed with her back on the head board, resting quietly.
Naina knew, she knew the moment her so called mother had kicked her for the last time after which she drifted to unconsciousness that she had lost her baby. So when Swayam and the rest of the family came barging in, when Vaidehi hugged her and told her the news that she was so prepared for it didn't really mattered. Sure, she cried but it wasn't a shock it was just the acceptance of what she had already known. Vaidehi kept asking for forgiveness, but she wasn't at fault and Naina never for once had or ever will blame vaidehi for what she had lost.
It took somewhere around an hour for the family to leave her alone, thanks to that of Granny that she had come and dragged each one out of the room herself. As slowly everyone left he came in her view, sitting quietly on the floor near that of the door. His gazed fixed on the ceiling fan in the room, his usually confident frame now a little crumbled. He looked lost.
Naina didn't know what to say, for the first time in their relationship. She kept her gaze fixed on him, she wanted to call him, hug him, cry with him and then let just the two of them console each other, cause no matter what others say if someone could understand her right now, feel her loss right now it was only and only Arjun. But she couldn't she.. She somehow felt she was responsible for all this. If only she had let Arjun stay and protect herself and their baby.. if only..
"Naina, stop thinking!" Arjun muttered and noticed how her eyes seemed to gain focus slowly and steadily. "You don't need me to protect you or the the baby! You did a fantastic job no one could have done it any better. ?Not even me. Whatever happened was just unfortunate and its only you who told me, things like these happen right?
When in a war, Death is inevitable! We knew that the moment we got to know you're pregnant that the first attack they would do they would go for the baby. We tried a hell lot to save the baby we fought really hard but we lost the fight. But I promise you that we will win the war! I promise you a better future for our future babies and us. I promise you a family. I promise you an us. By the end of it all I promise you a happy ending." he promised not knowing exactly at which part of the speech did the duo started to cry but they let their emotions go."Happy ending?too stereotypical don't you think? I don't care whether we get a happy ending just come back to me alright? Cause with you I can make anything happy. And anyways with you I could never wish for an ending" Naina smiled through the tears as she was pulled into a tight hug buy the man she had given her heart to.
