After everything went dark it felt like an eternity before I woke up to a bright light almost like the sun was brought one hundred times closer to my eyes. I opened my eyes and I was laying down on the ground. The only thing I saw was a blue sky and trees before I sat up in a blurry daze and saw the road and our car. The black 2009 Ford Fusion was smashed downward into a tree in the ditch. I panicked as I tried to get my mom who was sitting up in the back of an ambulance with big gashes on her head and neck. I saw and overheard the lady telling my mom what a miracle it was for her to be in such good condition for the severity of the crash and how long we had been there. She also said that they had a crash on this road close to where we did about a year ago. My mother then started talking about the man that got in front of our car. The lady -who didn't elaborate- just glanced at my mom like she knew what she was talking about. I went into another level of panic as I looked over and saw myself unconscious on a stretcher with a neck brace on. As I walked around I tried calling for help. I found it to be useless so I walked back to the spot I was laying and laid back down with tears welling up in my eyes hoping that all of this was a terrible dream.
