Gunshots, smoke, footsteps... and then silence. The police officer had collapsed, his partner rushing to his side as the killer attempted to make a getaway.
"Do this for me..." the dying man said as the other cried over his body, tears hitting against the blood stained shirt.
The officer nodded weakly and lay his partner down, tears streaming down his face as he stood up and sprinted in the direction of the killer.
He was cornered, shoulder bleeding as the man turned to the officer, "So this is how it ends" he said with a smirk as he turned to the crying man.
Both gripped their guns tight before the cornered man dropped his, it rattled on the ground as the killer smirked and took a step towards the officer.
"Stop where you are!" He shouted.
"It's been fun" the killer said in a low tone as he took yet another step, ignoring the man's warning.
Both let out a loud cry as the killer began charging at the officer, a murderous intent in his eyes as he pulled a knife from his inside pocket, a last resort to try and escape with his life.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
Three gunshots rang out through the air, filling the alleyway with a deafening sound as the killer collapsed in front of the crying man.
He held out a hand before falling flat on his stomach, the man putting his head into his hands as he began crying loudly, police sirens could be heard from down the street.

ChoeThat's how it always goes in the movies at least, the bad guy loses and the police wins, but they lose something or someone they care about.
This wasn't a movie though, I was finally enrolled into the police for real, it wasn't just a dream or an image on screen.
'This is real' I thought to myself as I stared up at the now threateningly large building which was in front of me.
It was only the first day 'you can do this, starting today, you are officer Choe'
■■■■■
Officer Choe, or at least the new employee entered the building, her brown hair waving slightly as she nervously greeted her colleagues and superiors.
She made her way towards the unit that she was chosen to work in, the violent crimes unit.
This was usually reserved for only the best of the best officers and detectives, but since there was only 3 officers working there, they needed anyone who would be willing to sign up.
So that's why the new rookie, officer Choe was allowed in, but first she had to be approved by the members, to see if she could take it.
They were desperate, but not that desperate, there was no way that the unit would be shut down, even if it was down to the last member, so they could still be slightly picky about who they let in and who isn't worthy enough.
Usually in charge of taking members in was Chief Kim and the head detective but Choe had no clue who would be in charge, it's just what her friend in training had told her, though now looking back on it, it might have been a bad idea to trust someone who transferred to the minor crimes unit.
