"Do you ever get that feeling that somebody is watching us, like, really far away?"

"Uhm, maybe?" Dabi replied to Deku, who was stuffing his mouth with vanilla cake.

Deku grinned. "And do you mind being watched?"

"What's up with these weird questions all of a sudden?" Dabi asked, taking some frosting off of the cake and licking it.

Deku shrugged. He looked up at Dabi with a pout on his face.

"Don't give me that look." Dabi took his plate. "I made you this cake, babe, so don't forget."

Deku hissed, "Pet names." he said.

"You used to go crazy for 'em, you know?"

"Yeah. I used to. They sound so cringey now."

Dabi sighed. "Yet, you're the most cringey of all."

Deku crossed his arms and pouted. "I am not."

"If we ever had adopted would you tell the children how we fell in love?" Dabi asked taking the dirty silverware and putting it in the sink.

The smaller boy thought for a bit. "Hm... I guess I would. Why do you ask?"

"And which part would you tell them?"

Deku sighed. "I don't know. I don't think I could tell them that I fell in love with a perv after one dance. But, I could tell them that after all of my stubbornness that that one dance was worth it." He blushed a bit after saying that last part.

Dabi walked over to Deku and gave him a kiss on his forehead. "Why, thank you for the compliment, love."

Deku pinched the boy's arm as he continued to pout. "No more pet names, understand?"

"But... I can't help it, Deku." Kisses his cheek. "You are my love."

"Ugh, fine." Deku ate some more the cake. "Only because you cook for me."

"Hm? Is that so? I should teach you how to cook, then." Said Dabi as he took Deku's plate of crumbs. He took it over to the trash and threw it away.

"T-Teach me how to cook? No, t-that's your job. You know I'm lazy." Deku smiled sheepishly. "And plus, I'll never be as good a cook as you."

Dabi playfully nudged his cheek. "It's not like you know that."

"I do though." Deku hopped up on the counter. "I'm not good at anything... except for dressing up as a girl."

"You're good at dancing, and hand-to-hand combat." Dabi said lightly.

"That's nothing..." Deku looked down. "Do you ever wish you had a normal life?"

Dabi pulled the seat out next to Deku and sat down. "Yeah, I do. But, if having a normal life means that you aren't there... then I don't want it."

Deku smiled a bit. "Do you really mean it?"

Dabi smiled a bit. "I really do, Deku." He stroked his cheek softly. "I love my non-normal life with you."

Deku snorted a bit as he covered his flustered face.

"Don't cover up. Let's go upstairs, shall we?" The man held his hand out.

Deku took it with a slight smile on his face.

Dabi lead Deku upstairs and into their now shared bedroom. Deku layed on the bed and burrowed himself under the purple comforter, sticking his head out of the bottom of the bed.
