High School/Soulmate AU
Kirishima's Mom had told him the story of how her and Mama met, easily a hundred times. The story fascinated him, and he always payed attention to the tiniest detail, so if he had been asked to quote her, he could. He never interrupted her, though, because it was rude.
Long before you are born, destiny chooses the person who will be the best match for you, who will be the with you through thick and thin. This person is your Soulmate. Mom and Mama had met in their young twenties, but many met around their teenage years. Kirishima was 21, old enough to do almost anything. He was working towards an art major in college, and he was already popular. A phrase on his wrist said, God fuck, leave me alone already! In neat red ink.
Kirishima's moms had been worried about what kind of person his Soulmate would be. Imagine waking up one day, when your son was in pre-school, and finding this sentence permanently tattooed onto his wrist. Needless to say, they hoped the Soulmate was simply having a bad day.
Bakugou's Mom had been surprised when she saw the words on her son's wrist for the first time. Do you know where- was messily scrawled onto his wrist, barely readable. As Bakugou grew and became a teenager, she could only imagine why he'd stopped his question there. She'd tried to make sure Bakugou was a kind boy, so that his Soulmate would have a nice response to his inquiry, but as he grew up, she knew her efforts were futile.
It was a rainy day outside, and Kirishima had been goofing off with some friends of his while Sero was driving, thus getting lost in a random city. They'd been on their way to go see a movie, but it didn't matter now. Kaminari, Sero, Mina, and Kirishima were trying to figure out how to get home, or at least find a place to eat. He saw a sign for a fast food place somewhere down the road, and they turned at the exit to find it.
After ordering, Kirishima had everyone go back to the car. He grabbed the food and took it back to the vehicle.
Another twenty minutes in, they found the city the cinema was supposed to be in. They ended up making it just in time, and watched the movie, which was a huge letdown. The bits from the trailer were the only interesting parts, and it wasn't as good as the reviews made it sound. They couldn't help but feel that their time had been wasted. They used a GPS on their way home, and they all made sure Sero followed it's directions perfectly.
They dropped Kaminari off at his apartment first, because he lived furthest away from everybody. "Wait, isn't this his jacket?" Mina asked a few minutes later, holding up a piece of fabric. It belonged to Kaminari, and Sero prepared to turn around.
"Sero, just drop me off here. I live closest, and it's not too long of a walk." Kirishima offered.
"Are you sure? It looks like it's going to rain soon." Sero said responsibly. The sky outside was filling with clouds that covered the sky.
"I'll be fine. A little rain never hurt anybody, right?" He grinned. Sero stopped the car in a restaurant's parking lot, and Kirishima got out, taking Kaminari's jacket with him. "Thanks for the movie, Sero!" He smiled widely, getting out. He followed Google Maps to Kaminari's house as the sky continued to darken.
He rang the doorbell, and was answered a little later. "Hey, Kirishima! What's up?"
"You left your coat in the car, and we weren't too far away. It's not too long of a walk for me to get home, so I offered to bring it to you." Kirishima explained, handing over said jacket.
