This takes place at the start of the first movie, and will continue on in chronological order.
Prologue
Running, that's what I've been doing for most of my life. I ran from the Icy Mountains, the Bamboo Forests, the Red Woods, Orphanages - I even had to run through a desert once, that was pretty cool; To anywhere I could find a place to stay. That is, until I found the Valley of Peace.
I was running through the area from the nearby green forest and had accidentally run into a bystander while stealing some fruit from a shop, a few mangos to be precise, and by the looks of it they weren't impressed. So, in the situation, I did what I would normally do. I went to fight. Lunging forward, I was just going to land a hit with my claws until I was pulled aside by a bundle of feathers. Ping.
From that day forward, I was taken under his wing and was taught how to make noodles, soups, and all kinds of food. It didn't go very well, at least not the first time. I may have almost ended Ping's whole career by setting fire to a pot of noodles. Thank the stars we keep apples in barrels of water.
When he gave me a place to stay I was no older than 7, and the little panda he called Po was only about 5. The cute ball of black and white became my little brother and we did everything together! We were given the nicknames Yin and Yang, since we were both black and white. We went fishing, we cooked, we stole toys.... Wait, forget that last part! I helped raise him until he was slightly taller than myself, and I may have started his obsession with kung fu. I even taught him how to punch!
The point being? We grew up together and I no longer had to run, I no longer had to hide, and I no longer had to fight for survival. Everything I could ever want is right here! And why would I want anything else?
Your POV
"(Y/N)! Po! Wake up! You'll be late for work!" I hear Dad call from downstairs, even though I wasn't asleep. I just couldn't be bothered. Sitting up and stretching, I look down on the floor to see none other than my brother laying there, trying to get up. "Need a hand?" I chuckled, outstretching my paw as I watched him try again.
"Me, wha? Nah. Watch this!" Po exclaimed as he rolled over and leapt up as fast as possible. "See?"
"Sure, bro, sure." I laughed as I ran down the stairs to get to work. Right as I reach the bottom, to no surprise, Po come sliding right down behind me. Well, that's one way to make a dramatic entrance!I get to work immediately, chopping up the ingredients and laying them out for Po and Ping to make the soup with. As per usual, I end up blocking everything out, until I hear Po saying he dreamed about noodles. So, being the nosy older sibling I am, I stopped what I was doing and decided to listen.
"What were you doing up there? All that noise?"
"Oh, uh, nothing! I just had a crazy dream" Said the stuttering black and white mess who never ever dreams about anything other than kung fu.
"About?" Asks a curious Ping, still making soup
"Huh?"
"What were you dreaming about?"
"What was I... Uh, I was dreaming about... Uh... Noodles?" He says, knowing full well he would never dream about noodles in a million years.
"Noodles?" Dad asks suspiciously, chopping a turnip in half. "You were really dreaming about noodles?"
"Uh, yeah! What else would I be dreaming about?" Po responds as he gives a rabbit their soup, only then realising that it had a shuriken in it. "Be careful! That soup is sharp!"
"Nailed it bro" I laugh as I pass over more vegetables. As quickly as I could while my family were distracted, I went to go and serve tables getting a few tips off of generous customers, as well as a few compliments. Po, on the other hand, made a few kids cry. I felt bad for him, as no one really liked him. As soon as I placed down all of the soup, Po exclaims that Master Oogway is choosing the dragon warrior today!
"Everyone get to the Jade Palace! We've been waiting for this for 1000 years! Take the soup and go! (Y/N) let's go!"
We were going to the Jade Palace! It's a dream come true!"Dad, we're going to see the dragon warrior!" I exclaim, my tail flicking behind me out of impatience. "Come on Po!"
"No, not without the noodle cart! Our entire family will be there and you can sell noodles to all of them!" Dad says, looking proud as he drags the cart towards us. We'll, there goes that dream...
"Hey dad, I was thinking maybe... We could..... We could...." Po stutters, trying to reason with him.
"Uh huh?"
"We could.... Sell the bean buns.... They're about to go bad" Damnit...
"Thats my son! I knew you had the noodle dream for a reason!"
Grabbing the noodle cart and growling underneath our breaths, Po and I started making our way up the steps. About 10 minutes later, we had traveled about 15. I'm not standing for this.
"Po! Come on! We need to get there or we will never see who the dragon warrior will be!" I yell, eventually getting my blob of a brother to start climbing the stairs. 50 down, 950 to go!
