after everyone went home on saturday, renjun returned from hiding in the summer house. "you're a pussy. he doesn't remember a thing." chenle remarked to his brother, shaking his head while throwing an apple at him.

"look. i didn't fucking know if he would remember shit alright, i just left it as it was."

"you ran away."

"i hid. i didn't run away. i just hid."

"jaemin thinks you hate him now you fuckin twit. you better text him and tell him you don't or i will." the words leaving the youngers mouth made the other frown. he didn't want to face jaemin and get his feelings shattered but he didn't want to let the boy think he hates him. then again, he also doesn't want his brother to tell his crush anything. everything he thought of was really in favour of texting the boy.

"fine. but i'll do it after i do some work. i have to study." he tutted, making his way out of the kitchen and up to his room.

just a few hours later, his phone started to blow up with notifications from whatsapp. "what the hell?" he frowned, looking at the screen, debating with himself whether or not to turn it off all together.

he obviously missed renjunnie but that sounds like a personal problem to me

mork☠️
jaemin, you wanna come round and talk about it for a bit. yknow, privacy from prying eyes. *looks at screen and raises brow knowing renjun is probably reading hi btw renjun*

renjun widened his eyes and looked out his window, glaring when he saw mark chuckling from his own window before waving. he scooted his swivel chair to his window before opening it, being mark's cue to open his. "fuck you mork."

"aww sweet of you to care so much." they both laughed before renjun went back to his work. soon after he heard jaemin with mark outside the house opposite to his own. he sighed. obviously, he could've handled it better this morning but he was anxious as it was. he shook all thoughts out his head and just went back to work.

"you know, you could make your life so much easier and just yell to them. a simple hey." the working boy jumped out of his skin when his brother spoke.

"nah. i'll keep working."

the other shrugged, "we're meeting at mark's later to celebrate jeno's win for our team. you coming?" the older shook his head, continuing to write his notes. "injunnie, you didn't see the sad, watery smile jaemin kept giving us all this morning. fuck, he even called jisung naive for thinking we will stay friends for the rest of our lives thinking that you're gonna start ditching us. please, just come anyway..." chenle said, noticing the tears forming at the corner of his brothers eyes. "for the sake of all of our happiness."

"fine. just lemme finish my work and get clean." he nodded, wiping the unnecessary tears from his eyes, smiling. why should he let his emotions and a dare get in the way of his friendships?

just a few hours later, a smarter looking (and by that i mean, he'd showered and changed into a plain bluey purple hoodie and black jeans) renjun appeared downstairs where his brother was waiting to head over to their friends. unsurprisingly, jisung was there too. surprisingly, with chenle on his lap, fixing his hair. "what are you two doing?" he asked making them both jump and chenle standing up swiftly.

"i was fixing his hair but his tall ass needed to sit down for me to be able to properly." the boy replied, turning red slightly and looking down at his feet.

"it's not like we're going to the fanciest restaurant in seoul today... are we?" renjun's face dropped slightly in realisation. his friends would go over the top whenever their teams would win and they often went to fancy restaurants with private rooms booked. his brother just nodded.

"don't worry. it's a-"

"private room i'm assuming? yeah we get them every time don't forget." renjun sighed. whatever, he can deal with going in a hoodie. comfort over presentation right? "you two finished your flirty gay session yet? we gotta go." he chuckled at the boy's reaction.

they both nodded before all heading out and to the house opposite. chenle quickly knocked, expecting jeno or mark to answer but it was jaemin. renjun had completely forgot jaemin was already there but he couldn't help but let out a small squeak once he was pulled into a warm embrace. "how are you? you ran off this morning?" the boy genuinely sounded concerned but he just smiled softly.

"i'm fine nana. don't worry." they stood the for a few moments before jisung cleared his throat.

"are you two gonna let us in or what?" he smiled, barging past and holding onto chenle's hand tightly as they made their way to the front room and sinking into the giant velvety sofa, almost immediately cuddling up. mark looked at them with a raised brow and chuckled.

"y'know that multiple people are witnessing this?" but they honestly couldn't care anymore. they loved each other and had openly admitted it. jisung shrugged and smiled, playing with the others hair.

"yeah but i don't really care." there were multiple oooh's before laughter flooded through the room.

however, on the other side of the wall to the sofa, renjun and jaemin were still cuddling. "nana, come on, i'm never gonna hate you." the softer voice said. a sniff could be heard before a watery smile shone.

"what if you do? what will happen then?" the chinese boy's heart melted, he hated the sight of his nana being upset but he loved how much he didn't want the other to leave him. "injunnie?"

"i won't. i promise."

soon enough, jeno turned up with donghyuck. both beaming. "WE WON" they chanted as the jeno, donghyuck, jaemin and renjun ntered the front room. everyone clapped and yelled in excitement. well, everyone but chenle, he had fallen asleep earlier when his hair was being stroked by the youngest. he stirred in his sleep, jisung latching his arms round the boy to comfort him back to sleep.

"well done jeno."

"i knew you would do it."

"do you wanna go freshen up before we go out to eat?" mark offered, receiving a nod for an answer. he lead the champion to the bathroom and left him too it. he chuckled at everyone being lovey dovey before someone latched onto him. "hey hyuckie." he hummed.

"hi." a small voice said, kissing mark's cheek before jumping back onto a place on the sofa, pulling the eldest down with him. at that moment, a very smartly dressed male walked in, bowing to the group of friends.

"good evening young sirs."

"good evening chittaphon!" mark replied. mark's household was known as the foreign swaggers in the neighbourhood. chittaphon, also known as ten, was mark's butler though he was very much like a brother to mark. he'd rarely be super polite or even dress in his uniform unless mark's parents were coming home from canada. mark had an older brother, johnny, who was dating a boy called jaehyun. they both practically lived in johnny's room. "i guess mom and dad are comin' back ten?" the butler nodded and smiled at hearing his nickname.

"they only gonna be stayin' for two days though." there was his usual talking. him and mark preferred to use english when talking about the family if there were people round.

"johnny and jaehyun locked in their room still?" mark received a nod and he just shook his head with a chuckle. everyone looked at them confused, even chenle since all the talking had woke him up.

"renjunnie? what are the heathens talking about?"

"about family."

so that's how they all felt when they spoke in chinese. "okay."

"what did i miss?" jeno asked, jumping off the last step on the staircase and walking into the room. "oh hey ten!" he smiled.

"hey jeno." the other smiled back.
