Taking Flight

Hiccup's Pov

"So bud what do you think? A couple Timberjacks, Stormcutters, or maybe a Whispering Death or two. Maybe even another nightfury, wouldnt that be something?" I sigh and look over to Toothless. I wish I could help him discover more about his species. I wipe my face with my hand and keep drawing the new land we found. "So what should we call this place?"

Toothless's pov

I love naming new places. I think for a couple of seconds and a bright idea came to my head. I was about to scratch my armpit. Itchy Armpit get it?  Until a black dot came into view.

Back To Hiccup

A black dragon. I havent seen a all black dragon before. Except Toothless. Its seems to be flying away from us though. "Come on, bud!" I jump onto Toothless's back and began to steer him toward whatever the dot was.

Timeskip

After a few hours later we finally caught up to the dot. A dragon. A Nightfury. It happily flew toward its destination with a mouthful of fish. Toothless began to fly faster and began to purr. The Nightfury noticed us and began to fly faster. Soon it was a all out chase. Toothless being happy about the other one had his mind set on following his soon to be companion.

After a couple of minutes the dragon started to slow down and began to decend toward a mountain. As it landed, Toothless and I laid our sights on a giant cave. We soon walked after the dragon. It began to get distrested that I was here. "Hey its okay I wont hurt you" I coo softly. The Nightfury soon began to converse with Toothless.

Toothless's pov

The Nightfury was beautiful. We began to circle each other. I memorized her beautiful ocean blue eyes and she sniffed my fake tail fin. "What happened?" I began to explain what happened that lead up to this point. "He shot me down and tore of my tail fin on accident. I cant fly on my own so he helps me." I sniff around her again. A female Nightfury. She growled when I came closer to her."Stop." She snarled. Hiccup began to try to tame her like when he tamed me.

He had almost touched her face when a low growl erupted from the far end of the cave. Is there another in this cave? Hiccup tryed one more time, she had allowed Hiccup to come closer almost touched her nose when a loud threatening growl came from the back of the cave. A larger dragon walked out from the farther side of the cave. Another Nightfury. He towered over the female. And wrapped his wing over her protectively. He nudged her with his head to check on her. "I wont let them have you", he purred to her as he glared me and Hiccup down.

"LEAVE NOW!" "You dont understand I was jus-"." "LEAVE!" Hiccup tryed to calm down the male but ended up hyping him up more. I looked back at the female with pleading eyes. "Ash please let them be." The female pleaded. He got of his hind legs and darted his eyes toward her. "I will not forgive this male for entering my territory and cave." He growled lowly. I decided to pipe in,"Umm I dont think you know who I am." I look at him smugly. "Your talking to the Alpha of Berk."

The female's ocean blue eyes widen as the male scofts and enters the sunlight that was behind us. Scars and battle wounds litter his body. Bright markings that seemed to glow brightly burned on his large chest as well as his ears and tail. "Alpha of that heap of rock? What a honor being in the presence of Alpha. The dragon who is weakening dragons and made them allow humans to enslave and ride on them. What shame the dragons must feel being ruled by a Alpha like you," he chuckled.

Anger filled my mind as he spoke downly toward me. My pupils began to thin and I felt my claws dig into the ground.

Timeskip

I didnt feel his claws dig into my skin as he pinned me down on the smooth surface of his cave. Red. Is all I saw. I angrely tried to throw him off of me. Soon a hand was trying to push him off. Hiccup. The Nightfury directed toward Hiccup. He lashed out when he heard the female whimper. I got up and charged my plasma blast as he clawed at Hiccup with his blade like claws. I aimed and shot toward his head but I was thrown off by Hiccups blinding fire sword being ignited.

A pain filled whimper filled the cave. Her blood scent filled the air as it was dripping off her leg. She looked at me with a fearfull expression.

Hiccups pov

The flames danced on my blade as everything seemed to stop. The male stopped and his eyes seemed to become thin as paper. The only sound that echoed through out the cave was the sound of the females blood dripping.

A loud roar could be heard as the male pushed Toothless out of the cave. His tail wasnt meant for solo flying. He fell down toward the ground as he hit trees and finally hit the ground a cracking sound filled the forest. I could feel the males eyes on me. Watching me as if I was a piece of fish.

The female limped over to the male and purred. He growled after she had said something to him. She nudged her head toward my scared body. Soon after the male began to stalk toward me. He grabbed my sword which was in my now limp hand and threw it to the far side of the cave.

The female watched pleased with herself as the male grabbed my foot with his paws and dragged me outside the cave. Soon Toothless was seen laying on his side. His wing was turned the wrong way and his fake tail fin was barely holding onto the leather straps. A Stormcutter followed our decent and sat down beside us.
I was angry with the Nightfury but I couldnt blame him everything escalated so fast.

Timeskip

The Nightfury held onto my shoulders at a very worrying loose grip. The Stormcutter held Toothless gently because every now and then he would shout out in pain. I felt myself slipping so I put both of my hands on his paw as he growled. A long scar started to his claws and it reached all the way up to broad shoulders and ran up his neck.

Berk came into view and both of the dragons flew toward the center of the buildings. They landed and the villagers began to croud them and my mother, Valka, rushed to my side. The Nightfury backed off and the Stormcutter put Toothless by me. He was breathing heavy as he tryed to move his wing. Mother saw that he was more closer to death than me and tended to him first.

"What happened?" "How are these dragons?" Whay happened to Toothless?" Everyone crowded around me and the dragons who growled and roared at the people. "We encountered another Nightfury which I presume was a female and it seems that this Nightfury was its mate and threw Toothless off a cliff because he hurt her in a failed attempt to fight the male", I stated. The vikings all stopped to listen to their cheif. Most had turned to look at the intimidating Nightfury that towered over them.

3rd person view

Toothless began to use his Alpha powers to tell the dragons something. In a flash dragons began to attack the Nightfury and Stormcutter. Soon after the people began to throw nets over them. The Nightfury was help down with over ten vikings and a Deadly Nadder. The Stormcutter got free of the dragons and began to fly away. Hiccup only stood there in horror. He watched as the once peacefull people turned against the Nightfury so quick. The Dragons actions clouded their once sane peacefull mind.

Stoik had tried to pry the vikings off but they continued to wrap the dragon. But soon the Stormcutter was no where to be found.
