The Amethyst Ring (A Hunter Hayes Fanfiction)

Chapter 11

                                 Jinger's POV

I wake up and realize I slept in until 10am. I need to tell Isabelle about everything but she has school until 3pm. But I guess I can call her during lunch. I start looking through my clothes for what to wear tonight. I pick out a cream button up sweater with tan, coral, pink, mint and sea green stripes, a coral just above the knee skirt, white lace and brown leather oxfords, a little necklace with a circle pendant and the word "dream" and a star stamped on it, dangly gold earrings and a bangle with little pearls on it. I decided that I'll do my make up very simple like how it was when I met Hunter, and I do my hair pulled half back with a small mint bow.  By now it's 11:30 and I haven't had breakfast yet so I start on some lunch. I decide to make some mac 'n cheese. I finish making everything then call Isabelle. She picks up on the second ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey girl!"

"Hey what's up!?"

"Okay I have HUGE news." "What about?" I explain to her everything that happened last night.

"I KNEW IT!!!! I KNEW.IT. WHAT DID I TELL YOU!?!?!"

"Yes I know you were right!!!"

"Oh my gosh. I'm so so SO happy for you Jinger!"

"Thank you."

"You're welcome...So you're going to dinner with him and his parents tonight huh?"

"Yeah. I'm taking that as a good sign."

"Uh...YEAH." I laugh and we talk a little and she has to go back into school. When we hang up I get on my laptop. I go on my twitter and see that Hunter has posted. He wrote : "That awesome feeling when everything in your life is going absolutely perfect..."

For a split second I feel like a fangirl again and think "I wonder what's go-" Then I remember about everything and realize that it could be about me. I favorite it and get off. I still have about 4 and a half hours before I need to start getting ready so I decide to clean up my room. I put my Dan+Shay cd on and start jamming and cleaning. I finish my cleaning right as the cd is over so I still have a while. I head into the living room and crack open a book. I was halfway through it and I finish it right as its 5 o'clock. So I go and start getting ready. I get dressed and do my hair and add my makeup. By now it's 5:30 so I just wait around for a little watching some CMT. I hear a car pull up. I look out my window and see that it's Hunter. I squeal a tiny bit and run down the stairs. With how fast I'm running it's quicker then taking the elevator. I meet Hunter right as he gets in the lobby. "Hey Hunter!" "Hey Jinger! You uh...You look beautiful." He says blushing. I blush and he offers his hand to me. I take it and we walk to the car. We get there and walk in to see his parents waiting up front. "Hi Mrs. Hayes, Mr. Hayes." I say, shaking their hands. "Please call us Lynette and Leo." Leo says. "Okay thank you." I say. "She's even prettier then you described Hunter." Lynette says. I blush and say "it's great to meet you both." "Great to meet you too dear." Lynette says. A waiter walks us over a table. We sit down and order our drinks and start talking. They ask all the basic questions one asks in getting to know someone. They ask why I want to become a musician and how I came to love music and such. When I say I can play violin they joke that I should give Hunter some lessons. "Haha maybe. If you teach me how to play electric guitar like a master like you." I say to Hunter.

"Come on. I'm not a master." "Uh yes you are. You're one of the best guitar players ever in my book." Even in the dim light of the restaurant I can see him blush a lot. "Thank you." He says quietly. We continue with dinner and talk about all kinds of things. "Do you think you'll ever or will want to get married?" Lynette asks. "MOM!!" Hunter bursts out. "No it's okay." I say with a laugh. "Yes. I definitely plan on getting married someday. I honestly can't really see myself staying single, that is of course if I find the right man..." I finish, blushing. Hunter is looking down and blushing too. We continue talking throughout the night and we leave the restaurant around 9:30 pm. I say how wonderful it was to meet them and I can't wait until I can see them again. Hunter drives me back to my apartment and we talk a little bit. I have my hand on the console rest when he gently takes my hand and holds it in his. I smile when he does that. I look over at him. He looks beautiful with the street lights shining on his blue eyes and his intent focus on driving. He just gives me such a wonderful happiness inside. I wonder. Could it last forever? Could I marry him and live happily ever after? As I'm thinking on this we get there and Hunter gets out and opens my door for me and walks me to the lobby door. Hunter says to me,"Thanks for coming tonight. It was really nice."

"You're welcome. I had a great time.

"Well good..." He stands there for a minute then leans in and kisses me on the cheek softly. "Goodnight Jinger." He says with a smile. "Goodnight Hunter." I say and he walks to his car and drives away. Oh what a great night I had! I was up and get PJ's on and lay down. Laying bed I realize how truly lucky I really am. I say a long thank you prayer that night. I thank God for everything he's done for me. And to guide me through the days to come with my music, my life in general and especially with Hunter. I fall asleep happier then I can remember in a long time.

                                 Hunter's POV

I had an amazing time tonight. Jinger and my parents really hit it off well. Mom sure asks some awkward questions though. I don't know why but somewhere deep down I hoped Jinger would answer something like that. I'm not necessarily thinking about it right now but maybe it's because I do want to have a family someday. Maybe I could have that life with Jinger. I then one I've said in a while. I have a feeling Jinger is saying one right now too...
