                                 Jinger's POV

It's been a little over a month since me and Hunter got together. Thursday is Thanksgiving and Hunter is going to spend it with me and my family. I'm so excited for him to meet them. I wake up Wednesday morning and Hunter picks me up at 11:00 am. We stop for coffee then drive for about an hour before we get lunch. Then we basically just jam to the radio for awhile. Then we start talking. "So about how far now?" Hunter asks.

"Well we've been driving for about two hours so about an hour now."

"Alright then...so uh...they do know about me right?"

"Yes. I told them almost right after we got together."

"Are you sure everything will be cool with everyone?"

"Yes! They're gonna love you."

"Are you positive?"

"Yes." I rest my hand on his that's sitting on the console and say, "They will. I know I do. He can't look at me because he's driving but I see him turn slightly pink and smile a little. Shortly after, we pull off the highway and drive the last half hour to my family's house. We pull up there and my sister must have heard or saw the car because she rushes out of the house. I hop out quickly and wrap her in a tight hug. I may be 6 years older then Lillie but she's 4 inches taller then me. My mom is even 2 inches taller then me. But it could be worse, my one grandma was 4'10 at her tallest. Hunter comes out and walks over to us and stands by me and he looks nervous. Lillie extends her hand for him to shake and says, "Nice to meet you Hunter." In her perfect little southern accent. Despite living in Mississippi for the first 18 years of my life and then moving to Nashville I lost my accent slightly after I moved. He shakes her hand and says, "Nice to meet you too Lillie. Jinger's told me a lot." She grins and I say "Hunter, why don't we go in and meet everyone else." He smiles and nods and I link my arm through his. As we walk in my brother Sam walks down the steps from upstairs. I run and give him a hug. Being the senior football team star he practically crushes me hugging me. (AUTHOR'S NOTE: I had said Sam was 12 before but I changed some things around a bit. Okay. Proceed.)

I introduce Hunter and Sam.  He walks over and shakes Hunter's hand. I'm looking at them from! The side and I have to stiffle a giggle. Sam is 6 feet tall so he's a good 6 inches taller then Hunter. It's just funny to see. I hear Lillie giggle and I shoot her a look. We walk into the kitchen where my mom is starting some food for dinner an my dad is sitting there on his laptop. My mom runs over and gives me a big hug. My dad closes his laptop and stands behind my mom then gives me a hug. I then introduce them to Hunter. My mom of course is automatically friendly and sweet to him. My dad is nice too but I catch a slight edge of sterness to his voice. Barely noticeable but if you really paid attention it's there. "Nice to meet you Mr. Jones." Hunter says as he shakes my dad's hand. "Can I show Hunter around the house?" I ask. My mom nods and smiles. I walk Hunter up the steps to the upstairs of the house. You go up the steps and directly to your right is the bathroom. Then if you turn left is all the rooms. Our upstairs is long, open, backwards and upside down "L" sort of thing. Like a hallway with out walls. Just a banister. So the first part of it go's like this: The attic first, then my room, then Lillie's room. Then it turns the other way and then it's my parent's room then Sam's room.

"Sam has a futon sofa in his room so you'll be sleeping in there." I say to Hunter. "Alright. I got it."

"Good." We go back outside to the car to get our stuff and take it inside. "So uh did I do something to upset your dad a little?" Hunter asks me. I laugh and say, "No, you didn't. He's just like that with boyfriends. He was with my other one."

"Are you sure? Because he gave me a firm enough handshake to...Wait." He says, stopping what he was saying. I raise my eyebrows to ask him what and he says, "Your other one? You've only had one other boyfriend other then me?" I look down and blush. "Yes." I explain everything about it to him. "You see, I never really wanted a boyfriend through middle school and part of high school because I thought it was a little silly. I mean you can't ENTIRELY know what love is at that age right? Guys would ask me out and I would tell them thanks but I wasn't quite ready for a boyfriend. But that all changed in Junior year. I became really good friends with a boy named Jamie Connors at the beginning of the year and when we came back from Winter break he asked me out. I had had a crush on him for a little while now. I felt like he got me, he understood me. So...I said yes. And we dated the rest of that year. But about not quite halfway through Senior year we just slowly drifted away. By May we had planned on different colleges and such and we just kinda decided to break it off mutually right before the end of school. We talked that fall right before we left about if we would want to get back together after college and we just agreed that whatever we had had fizzled away. So yeah. That's that. We're done. Haven't talked to each other since we left."
