Truth or Dare

You sit in the Devil May Cry van with Nico, V and Nero, all having your own seats to sprawl out and relax your muscles after a particularly long and exhausting mission. V is the closest to you, sitting in the seat beside the small table in the middle of the vehicle, while Nero and Nico sit in the front seats. Nero has his feet up on the dashboard, his arms resting behind his head as Nico rests her back on the drivers side door with her legs resting on the side of Nero's seat.

Across from V, you rest on the long, albeit small couch, lying on your stomach with one arm under your head as a pillow while the other hangs off the side and your knuckles graze the floor. Nico had only just parked the van inside the garage, needing a little time to calm her nerves. Everyone knew she got a little anxious when driving for too long, especially when there are so many close encounters with demons or her nearly running Nero over when he calls for her to come pick him up… though she'd never admit it.

“Let's do something. I need to distract my mind” You huff as you pull yourself into a sitting position, combing a hand through your hair. Everyone shifts a little in their seats, V peeking his head up to look at you quizzically, Nero turning his head to glance at you with his soft eyes and Nico grabbing hold of the steering wheel to pull herself up to show her devilish smile.

“I agree! Let's play a game. One of those cheesy ones people play at parties!” Nico snorts, bouncing up and out of her seat to grab Nero's wrist in a tight grip, pulling him out of his seat. Nero whines and protests about how he just wants to relax, following his friend who pulls him towards you and V anyway. Nico pushes him down to sit beside you, almost knocking him onto your lap while she takes the spare seat beside V.

All of you toss around ideas, both V and Nero suggesting card games while you and Nico debate playing suck and pass just for the sake of hearing the boys groan and blush like the children they are. Nico was ready go get the cards out just to torture them, but you gave pity and decided not to do that. You threw more ideas around before you suggest the cheesiest game you could think of, mainly as a joke.

“Truth or Dare?” You suggest, finding its the only game you guys could get a laugh out of without any alcohol. Seven minutes in heaven came to mind too, however there are only four of you so it would make it a little obvious and boring after two turns. Nero groans in protest, sinking into his seat knowing that he will be the one to get humiliated the most, however he also knows that he doesn't really have a say when it comes to you and Nico deciding what games to play.

“Okay! Truth or dare, Y/n?” Nico asks rather excitedly, jumping into the game quickly, and suddenly you feel like you shouldn't have picked this game. She does, for one, know of your little crush on Nero, so this could end horribly and/or humiliatingly. Deciding actions will be less embarrassing than possibly confessing your attraction to the demon hunter himself through a truth, you pick dare.

“I dare you to…” Nico flashes a smile, her eyes flickering between you and Nero. You give her a warning stare, silently begging her to go easy on you. V seems rather quiet, unfazed by this silly game. Nero on the other hand, looks like he's bored and slightly panicked, just thinking of all the ways he can get humiliated. “... sit on Nero's lap” Nico finally finishes, narrowing her eyes at you with a knowing smile resting on her lips. Even V smirks at you, possibly knowing of your feelings towards Nero, either because Nico told him at some point or because he's very observant.

You glare at Nico, wondering why she couldn't at least start off with something not so obvious and maybe a little easier. Sitting on Nero's lap as the first dare makes you blush and causes your nerves to settle in as you already deeply regret playing such a game with Nico of all people.
