It was time for Sora's science class. He looked for Vanitas everywhere, but he wasn't in class. He arrived a few minutes later. He looked really gloomy and depressed. Vanitas looked up at Sora and blushed of embarrassment. It didn't look like Vanitas was going to give him his homework anytime soon, so Sora walked up to Vanitas.

Vanitas heard his footsteps and pulled out Sora's homework before Sora began to talk. "Thanks.. once again." Vanitas said, without looking back. Sora knew he didn't want to talk, so he just got his homework back and sat back down.

After science class, it was time for his last class. He went into his class. After his last class, he headed downstairs and quickly looked for Riku. He instead found Kairi. Kairi noticed him and ran toward him.

"Hey, Sora! Can we head to the beach? I got something I need to tell you. It's important!" Kairi smiled, as she grabbed his arm. "Ah.. sure, let's go." Sora said. They grabbed their backpacks and headed to the beach.

"Let's sit under that palm tree." Kairi said, as she pointed to it. After they reached the palm tree and sat down, Sora wondered what Kairi had to say.

"What did you want to tell me again?" Sora asked, with a puzzled face. "Ah.. right. I wanted to say that... I like you." Kairi said, while grabbing onto Sora's hand. "What do you mean? I like you, and Riku too!" Sora asked.

"Sora.. I meant it like.. I really love you. I want to always be around you, hold your hand, hug you, and kiss you!" Kairi blushed and squeezed Sora's hand. "O-Oh..! That's what you meant.. I-I mean.. I don't like you in that way." Sora worriedly said.

Kairi looked straight up serious at Sora. He worriedly, tilted his head in confusion. Kairi began to giggle and smile. "Sora, it's totally fine. It's my fault for liking you. Also, don't apologise, you haven't done anything wrong. I expected this, so.. no worries!" Kairi smiled as she looked down at her lap.

Sora didn't know how to respond. He felt as if he was an asshole for turning down his best friend. But he had a reason for it, there was someone else who he was interested in. At first when he noticed his feelings for them, he shook them off and tried to deny them. But, he soon realized that his feelings weren't false, they were real.

"I.. I'm sorry, Kairi," Sora sniffled "I feel like an asshole right now." He had tears running down his cheeks. Kairi noticed him crying and embraced him in a hug. "Sora... I told you already, it's fine. You don't have to apologise!!" Kairi slightly patted his head.

They sat in silence for a few minutes.

Not moving at all.
