Alice walked down the market with her sisters and mom.
Men yelling sales prices and what their product was, or what they had, sometimes all three.
Being witches they could ready see magical beings, almost no body knew except them. Nonetheless, men yelling out about a potion that allows you to see magical creatures. Without being able to see them you might think someone who could is insane. Only magical beings could see each other, unless they allowed a human to  see them, but with this potion anyone could see them.
Alice was almost in tears after seeing one of her close fairy friends being sold as a prize, an item.
Alice leaned up to her mothers ear and whispered, "How could they do this"
"Because they can," she replied in hate of the men who hurt the magic of the world. "when i was a kid they started to, it eventually got worse and now we're here."
"Why are we here?"
"I need herbs for a potion but, you can go along and find something you like."
Alice was on her own with 50 coins.
"FAIRY FOR SALE"
"MAGIC POTION, SEE MAGICAL CREATURES, BEINGS, AND WHATNOT!"
Men after men yelled, Alice just sighed in disgust. She continued to walk till she found an almost extinct type of fairy.
She must've been staring for a while because the stand keeper started to speak, "Pretty eh?"
Alice looked up to her, "Uh, yes, very."
"They can be yours for 50 coins."
"Ain't that a little cheap compared to the other stands"
"Yeah, but that means more business for us."
Alice was thinking for a few seconds, what if someone gets them and hurts them? What if they only want them to do harm? Will anything good come from leaving them? No.
She emptied her pouch onto the table, grabbing the egg and wishing the lady a "Good night!" followed by a "Thank you, you too!"
Alice placed the egg in her skirt pocket safely, she had used her pouch as comfort and cushion for the egg.
Alice jogged back to her mother.
"Find anything?"
"Just a few treats" she lied, she couldn't tell the truth, not yet. Her mom would be proud, yet so so so disappointed.
Alice and her family eventually went home, she went straight to her room.
She took the egg out making sure it was still okay. After a sigh of relief she put it in a warm area in her window for the light to shine in through.
She then got ready for bed, soon she fell asleep.
