"What are you doing tomorrow after school?" Gwen asked me.

I packed my books in my locker. "Nothing, I was just planning on staying home." I say truthfully.

"Well there's a party tomorrow if you want to come. Sort of like a bonfire type of thing. At someone's house."

I shut my locker and said nothing. At my old school I would hear about wild parties that had happened over the weekend.

And back then I would wish for someone to invite me but it never happened. Now that it's finally happening, someone has asked me to come to a party, I actually don't feel like going.

We walked into the cafeteria, which was full to capacity. I followed Gwen to her regular table and sat down next to her.

There were already two people sitting at the table, two boys I've never met before.

"Hey boys. This is my friend Dylan, she's new. Dylan this is Nate and Keegan."

The brown hair boy with glass and a sharp jawline looked up for his phone and smiled at me. I'm assuming that is Nate.

And the long blonde hair boy with piercing blue eyes sitting next to him must be Keegan. He extended his hand for me to shake it which I did.

His hand is so soft, I would expect clouds to feel like this. He smiled gently at me and I returned the smile.

"So did you hear about the party tomorrow?" Nate asked.

"Yeah, what time are you going to pick us up?" Gwen asked. Wait, us?

"And who exactly is 'us'?" I said and all three of them laughed at me like I said the most hilarious joke of the century.

"There is no way you are missing out on one of the most important parties of this year. We are all going."

Before I could push the matter further, the sound of that stupid bell beat me too it again. I huff and packed my things and stormed off.

"Dylan! Dylan!" Someone called out, but it only pushed me to walk faster.

"Hey hey hey slow down." Keegan gently grabbed my arm and stopped me in my attempts to go to my English class .

"Are you okay?"

"No! No I'm not okay. I don't like the fact that I have to go to some party with a bunch of kids I don't know and pretend to have fun..." I vented.

I know I'm overreacting but I just don't like it when people putting me in situations that I don't like to be in.

"Hey I get it, Gwen can be controlling some times. I get it, but I swear to you, you're going to have a great time. I'll make sure of it."

He reassured me. I don't know, I've never really been to a party before. But something deep inside me really doesn't like this idea.

"I don't know..."

"The moment you feel like you don't like it I promise I'll take you straight home." He said.

I sighed and slowly nodded my head. He smiled and placed his arm around my shoulder.

"Trust me, you're going to have a blast." He said.
