Chapter 23

You woke up from your sleep,a little dizzy.
You groaned and sat up.You were feeling hot,like super hot.

You touched your forehead and noticed that you have a fever.You sighed,depressed.
Then,a knock on the door attracted your attention.
"Yes?"

Your mom came in.
"Sweetie,you ok?You didn't make it for the
breakfast,"she said and you sighed.
"Mom,I am running a fever,"you said and she gasped.

She rested her hand on your forehead and gasped.
"Oh my,(Y/n),you are burning up!I'll make you
some soup you like,you stay in bed,"your mom said.
"Thanks,mom,"you replied as you lied down back in your bed.

Your mom left the room and soon,you fell asleep again,tired.

Meanwhile,swith Jack,

Jack was walking towards your house since he promised you that he would show you around.
He still didn't know how to face you after the kiss.

He soon reached to your house.He sighed and rang the bell.After a while,your mom came up and opened the door for him.
"Oh,hello Jack.What brings you here?"your mom said as she let

"Hello,miss (l/n).I am here to show (Y/n) around
the town,"Jack said.
"Oh dear,I am sorry but you can't take her out
today.(Y/n) is sick and she is burning up,
so,I have her stay in bed to rest,"your mom replied.

Worriness took over Jack.
"What?!Is she ok?Can I see her?"he asked,
worried sick.

Your mom noticed how worried Jack was and she slyly smirked,having an idea.Jack was quite suitable as a son-in-law in her eyes.

"Oh my,I just remember that (Y/n)'s dad left
something important and I have to go give it
to him,"she said as she picked up the soup tray.

She turned to Jack and gave the tray to him.
"Jack,can you go give (Y/n) her soup?I have to
run before it's late,"she said and grabbed her purse.

"Oh,yes ma'am!"Jack said as he nodded.Your mom smiled and went out of the house,hiding her smirk.

Jack sighed as he looked at upstairs.
Slowly,he started heading towards your room.
Soon,he reached your room.

He slowly came in and his eyes landed on you who was asleep.He placed the tray on your table and slowly,sat down on your bed,trying not to wake you.

He placed a hand on your forehead.You were burning up.He looked at your face.You looked pale.

He started taking care of you like placing a wet towel on your forehead to cool you down and changing them from time to time.

After a while,Jack sat down back on your bed.
You were getting better since you have cooled down a bit.

His eyes landed on your lips and the memory of last night came back on his mind.He started leaning towards your lips,slowly.

Soon,his lips landed on your soft ones.He quickly broke the kiss and looked at you.
"I love you but what can I do to make you mine
and only mine?"he mumbled as he kissed you again,this time a little longer before leaving to downstairs.

After he was completedly gone,you opened your eyes.You sat up and touched your lips.
You blushed as you touched your lips where he kissed you.

You were getting better since Jack took care of you.
"You don't have to do anything.Because I was
always yours"
