Reading his note over and over only put me in a bad mood, I needed to get ready for this "welcome home" party but instead I'm standing here reading the same pointless words continuously. I crumble up the note and threw it away on my way to the bathroom. After a long and much needed shower I go to my closet to find something to wear for tonight, but I am interrupted by a facetime call from Ella.

"Ella, its only been a day, what could you possibly have to talk to me about?" I talk to the brunette on the other line.

"Tons of things like the fact that I'll be there in a week."

"Good, but why are you calling, something up?" I ask still in my towel, this better be important.

"Yeah, I was thinking about the conversation we had on the bus last week, remember?" She asks me while propping her phone up on a stand, so she can multitask.

"About the new bus?"

"Yes, okay so I was thinking there's only going to be 8 of us since Jake isn't coming on the rest of the tour, so how about we double up like 4 sections 2 people in each room."

"I don't know, call Justin and ask him." I tell her agitated, that I'm standing here freezing with wet hair.

"Okay, I'll let you and the girls know in the group chat when I find out." We say our goodbyes before she hangs up the call.

After about 20 minutes of looking through clothes I've never worn before, I finally decide on wearing a blue velvet highwaisted skirt with a white crop top and black DM's, its basic but its the only thing I could find. Considering I've only got an hour before the party starts I quickly blow dry my hair and leave it to fall into its natural waves. Leaving time to spare I do my winged mascara and plump eyelashes, feeling good about my appearance I grab my purse and keys then walk to my car. The ride is familiar and short, when I arrive at my parents home there is a valet taking cars, I hate leaving my car with valets but since its the only place I'll be able to park I hand over my keys to the teenage boy in a red vest. There's too many people here for me to recognize, so I decide to find my mother, thankfully she is in the kitchen telling the cook how to prepare the meal.

"Mother, he's the chef here get out of the kitchen." I chuckle at the aged women hoovering over the stove.

"I just want everything to be perfect my dear." She walks over giving me a quick kiss on the cheek before speaking again. "Your father couldn't make it, he had a meeting in New York but he says he misses you."

"Bullshit, we're never gonna make up if he keeps ignoring me." I can't tell if I'm angry or relieved hes not here, either way he should still have the balls to tell me himself.

"Language Ryan!" My mother hush-yells.

"I'm sorry, but he could have called." I sigh pushing my hair back. "I need a drink now." I say to myself.

Walking out of the kitchen and leaving my angry mother behind, I spot a waiter with a tray full of cocktails. I take one before engaging in conversation with my bestfriend from highschool Ashley, she is basically me a year ago but she now goes to Harvard and is in a relationship with a guy who is ironically an asshole.

"Ryan, I missed you so much!" Her annoying voice sends a ringing to my ears.

"Yeah, how are you Ashley?" I ask in an uninterested tone.

"Great, Ted and I are both at Harvard, he's doing football and I'm doing cheer." I'll never fully understand how one can be content with the same old activities day after day.

"You're still in cheer?" I ask baffled, we both did cheer together when we were 5, which is why is shocks me so much.

"Of course, I'd never give it up." Her faces looks as if I just slapped it. "So, I see you on TMZ alot." Here we go, the judgment.

"Oh yeah, and what do they say?" I'm in no mood to hear about the rumors that are spead about me.

"You're in a bad called The Saturdays right?" She once again has a sour look on her face.

"That's us." Trying to be nice I give her a fake smile.

"You certainly did not turn out to be who I thought you would Ryan." The blonde haired girl takes a sip from her juice. "I always thought you and I would be in collage together right now, living the dream but instead you spend your time on a sweaty tour bus with three highschool dropouts who are going to amount to nothing just like you if you keep this act up."

"You're ridiculous Ashley, you have no idea what you're on about this time, wouldn't want another slip huh? That why we're drinking cranberry juice." I watch as her smug face quickly turns to hurt. "Haven't you realized you're going no where with cheer, hate to break it to you but there are girls far more experienced and lastly don't ever talk about my fucking band."

"You're behavior tonight is impeccable Ryan, God will punish you for your sins." Another thing I did not miss from highschool here, everyone was always a church freak.

"God's not real Ashley, grow up." I chug down the last of my drink before setting it down and grabbing a new one, this is going to be a long night if I have to keep dealing with people like her.

Finally one good thing about this party, dinner time after 30 long minutes of listening to people go on about old memories I get to stuff my face full with chicken and mashed potatoes. The dining table is set up beautifully enough seats to fit 30 people just like my mother had planned minus my fathers absence. I am directed to sit in the front next to my little sister and my mother. After my uncle says a prayer we're finally allowed to eat our food.

"Ryan, how was your tour?" My grandma Jodie asks.

"It was amazing, I went so many places and met alot of amazing people." I tell her.

"I'm glad my baby is experiencing life, I wasn't doing that when I was your age, ya know." She tells me this everything she sees me, with or without alcohol in her system.

"Yes grandma you've told-Excuse me." I'm cut off by my phone ringing from my purse, I get up from the table and go outside.

The caller ID says unknown and usually I'd ignore this but since I've got nothing better to do I answer it. "Hello."

"Hey Ryan, its Matty I got your number from Cara." Matty's voice rings through the phone.

"Hey Matty, what's up?" I say pulling out a cigarette from my purse.

"Nothing much, just thinking about you and felt like I needed to call you." He laughs.

"Were you now Healy? I cant say I'm surprised." Lighting the cigarette I laugh with him.

"Indeed, I cant wait for our tour." He's silent for a moment. "You and I have gonna have lots of fun."

"What makes you think that? I could be the boring one of our little group." I inform him.

"Something just tells me you're the wild one, now tell me what you're really doing."

After about an hour of talking to Matty my mother comes outside forcing me to come in an join the party, I really don't want to talk to anyone right now so I think I might go home. Sleep sounds perfect right now, I haven't had one minute of rest since getting off that plane.

"Mom, I'm gonna go home and get some rest." Her face falls when I tell her I'm going home.

"I wish you wouldn't, but before you go we need the family picture." This is what I'm excited for, I love my family pictures, every party we have that most of the family is at we take a family photo.

We all stand in a group me next to my little sister and mother, next to us is my grandma and papa, then my aunt and uncle, and lastly their son and his girlfriend. We all smile for the picture and I post it on twitter "@Ryan_TSAT: Thank you for the party, love you all XX" I say my goodbyes to everyone and head out to my car. When I get home my apartment is freezing I must have left the balcony door open earlier when I went out for a smoke, I shut and lock all doors then head to bed. Oh, how I missed my bed, hotel beds and bus beds aren't the same as this. Within minutes I've fallen into a deep sleep dreaming about one person and one person only. Matty.
