Chapter 1

Patience. It's a virtue that's hard to come by, well atleast for most people. I, for one, have always had patience for the people around me. It's not like I have a choice anyway.

But just this morning, oh would you look at that, I suddenly forgot what patience was.

"No," I claimed firmly, "I told you it's not true."

Yang Hyunsuk didn't look too convinced but I stood my ground.

"Lisa, I just want you to tell me the truth."

I closed my eyes to prevent myself from getting frustrated any further.

"Sajangnim, with all due respect, I have told you a million times already, I'm not lying, it's really a no."

"If you're dating Jeon Jungkook from BT-"

"I SAID WE'RE NOT DATING!"

He sharpened his gaze at me as I tried to calm myself down.

Calm yourself, Lalisa.

Breathe in.
Breathe out.

Why can't he believe what I'm saying?

"I'm sorry if I raised my voice at you, sajangnim, but I'm telling you the truth. Me and Jungkook sunbae have no relationship whatsoever."

I heard him sigh and the tone of it made me more irritated than I already was.

He still doesn't believe me.

"Well, Lisa-ssi, how do you expect me to believe that when Big Hit released a statement that confirmed you and Jeon Jungkook-ssi from BTS are dating."

Fuck.

I didn't know what to answer because even I don't know why Big Hit released a statement like that.

"I don't know, sajangnim. I really don't know why. But I am telling you the truth right now, and that is I am not dating that guy and never have I ever planned to. We don't even talk to each other!" I exclaimed, as a matter of fact.

"Lisa," he began, still voicing his tone with so much doubt, "you were just caught by dispatch out together under the same umbrella, and apparently so, talking to each other."

Damn you, blasted rainy night!

"I told you, sir. That was one time. I was running to the nearest bus stop and accidentally bumped into him. He just offered taking me to the bus stop because I had no umbrella and that was it."

Sajangnim only kept on sighing for the whole time I was being interrogated. He didn't look like he believed me even if he wanted to.

I know it's hard to believe since dispatch's timing on taking the photos looked like me and Jungkook sunbae were intimately looking at each other under that stupid umbrella. But nothing is going on between me and him. And Jungkook sunbae himself knows that too!

Why the hell would Big Hit even confirm such a thing?!

"Okay, here's what were gonna do Lisa, because I want to believe you, I really do, but even if I did, what would you do against all the evidences? The pictures? Big Hit, a trustworthy company to the public, confirming it? And even the couple rings."

Wait, what?

"What was that again? Couple rings? I don't have an–"

"We'll discuss it over a meeting at Big Hit along with their CEO and the guy you don't claim to be in a relationship as well."
