Hellooooo all,
Okay first of all, for those who don't know, this is not a new work. I'm sharing this fanfiction again in its entirety after a few years of it being removed from Wattpad.
Second, to give a little background: this story was the very first thing I ever posted on Wattpad. Fanfiction to me seemed like such an obvious way to test out my work on an actual living breathing audience, and a Fifty Shades/Crossfire mashup felt like a complete no brainer at the time. (I've since written a GoT fanfic and a Dunkirk fanfic, but the less said about them the better... *cringe*)
I knew I wanted to write erotic/romance fiction and I had just finished reading the first Sylvia Day Crossfire book, and then shortly after that I saw the first FS movie. I was also very slightly obsessed with Jamie Dornan too - see my Imagines published short. (Along with Tom Hardy, you'll see him as a recurrent muse throughout my works.... lolololol)
Anyway, shortly after the movie came out I saw a picture of Jamie and Henry Cavill at a party in LA (headed above and in the first chapter) and BOOM this idea was born in my head.
After I wrote the first chapter someone recommended posting it on a site called 'Wattpad' and the rest as they say, is history. I wrote the whole lot in a few weeks (writing was easier back then clearly) and it received such a lovely response from readers and fans of the series alike that it encouraged me to start posting my own original works here: the first of which turned out to be 'The Persistence of Memory.' Which I may have mentioned went on to win a Watty and everything... ,)
To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure about putting this back up here - I had to remove it as I was part of Wattpad's futures program, which I'm no longer a part of - and I'm not even sure how long it will remain up for... so get it while it's hot ladiesssssss.
And it is HOT. Like super scorching hot. ,)
So, with that said... I really do hope you enjoy this alternate take on Christian's story, and the woman I created for him.
As I said in the story description: this is NOT the story you know. There is no Ana in this story (well *spoiler* she does feature in it but she's no more than an footnote in Crossing The Grey and in Christian's life, as you shall see...). If the story of Ana and Christian is sacred for you, then this might not be the fanfic for you! :)
