"So."
"So?"
"So!"
"Stop with your so sos. It's SO annoying. Say something worth saying. Don't speak just because you have a mouth to speak with." I stop the demo for different ways to say 'so'. Val and Ri can be so childish sometimes.
"Kay. Coming to the point. I have contacted and booked an appointment with Roger's Catering Service for Em. They are the best in the city, and come quite costly if their company is all about raining money." Ri has done her part.
"I have done my job in the bar plus bartender issue. Band is also done. Both from a renowned bar from Cali." Tina too has finished her chores.
"I have talked to the interior decorating team suitable for the event. They have given me brochure with designs for various themes, and the price tags.
One by one we let Em know that we have done our assigned jobs, and now all she has to do is talk to the concerned parties and decide the course to take after the boss's approval. It's been one week after Em asked for our help, and now it's all done.
"You have three weeks now. Your work should be done in one week. Then you have two long weeks to decide your dress. This is the perk of having such great friends." Val says with pride.
"Right. And we need a treat from you, biyatch, for using our asses here." Maddie, as always, thinking only of food.
"You'll get your treat after the ball, in Amico Chef."
"What? Omeegad, I can't wait for the weeks to be over. I love that restaurant." Tina says looking at Maddie with excitement.
Maddie's jaws aere hanging open with surprise. "Amico Chef! The cook there is sooooo handsome, and he has an Italian accent!"
"Italian men will have Italian accent, not Finish, you dumb cow. What's there to be so happy? You have sworn off men, have you already forgotten?" I remind Maddie like the brain of the group that I am.
"I still can admire. But yeah, if he asks me out, I will break my oath. He is Enrico, for Moon goddess' sake."
I walk out of my room to grab a beer from the fridge. The main part is over, the job is as good as done for Em, so there's literally nothing to discuss with those idiots and drooling fangirls.
I sit down on the love seat near the couch where Tish is continuing with her GOT marathon. I don't understand anything about the show, maybe because I haven't ever really watched it, like Tish does. I used to sit in front of it till Ned Stark was alive. My god, that one is a hell of a man. One day I told Tish that I like Ned the most in the whole show, she asked me what do I know about Ned Stark. I said,
"He is a handsome old man. I won't complain if I had to marry him."
I think I just made an enemy of Tish right there. She doesn't even look at me during her show time now-a-days. Talk about unfair.

It's Saturday, one more week to go before the gala of Em's nightmare. We the girls have decided for a spa day, and I'm going to highlight my hair, blue streaks in midst of my red hair. I'm lucky that I work for a fashion designer, she always encourages her employees to change and choose. She had praised me when I dyed my hair red, it brings out my always red cheeks, she said. Now I'm experimenting again. Let's see what happens.
The beauty salon we frequent is the best in it's range. You will never find the workers here sitting idly for even five minutes. We had booked appointments for us yesterday, so we are ushered inside as soon as we inform the receptionist.
Em is getting a pixie cut, Tina will go for a spa, Maddie and Val both are doing mani-pedi.
I came for blue highlights, and ended up with violet. But they look gorgeous with my red hair. Even Tina praised it once she saw it. So, it means we are all set for the gala next Saturday, with only dress shopping left on the to-do list. That we will do tomorrow as we are too tired today after the beauty adventure. Now we need alcohol in our systems too boost our energy level.
"Where you wanna go?" I ask them sitting on the floor of Riley's kitchen. It's a weird habbit of ours, whenever we eat a meal together, we sit on the floor. Maybe the actual reason is the lack of six seats on the dining tables in any of our apartments. Who wants a six seater when there's only two people to eat on it everyday.
"All Mine." Em is quick to answer before anyone else has a chance to.
It's the new bar in town, 'All Mine', a unique name for a bar. Maybe the owner is too serious about his money and booze, all of it are his, he announces through the name.
Val is mere inches away from dancing with glee. That girl is crazy, can't digest her drinks, still she can't go without them.
After we finish our dinner, we start getting ready for the night. We all are more or less the same size, so one's dresses fit all the six. We go through Riley's closet and fish out outfits for us. When we are all set with make up and all, we book two cabs to take us down to the club.
It's only nine in the evening and people are already drunk, dunno what they will do after one or two hours. We go to the bar and order shots. As I swipe my eyes through the crowd, I catch a familiar face sitting all alone in a booth. An idea comes to my mind.
"Hey Maddie, were you serious that day about breaking your oath for Enrico?"
"He is soo 'ot, why not? You know why I swore off men, right? But a girl like me can't go forever without a man here and there. So yeah, I might. If he is interested, that is."
Maddie had two boyfriends in all her data-able years, the first was a closeted gay, who was afraid of his strictly religious Catholic parents; the second boyfriend cheated on her with his bestfriend. Not to talk about her college crush, who sweet talked her only to get access to Ri. It's complicated actually.
"I can see just the perfect man sitting alone, from here. You can go if you want to give him company." and I point Enrico out to Maddie.
"Ohmeegosh, he's here. I'm gonna go bit his ear off." she finishes her shot almost immediately and runs for him.
"Where is she going?" Em asks curiously.
"To break free from the oath she took two years ago."
