After bringing back Emma to Storybrooke, Hook couldn't stop wondering about [Y'n]'s whereabouts. He had only recently met her in the Enchanted Forest and quickly took a liking to her.
The two of them had gotten along well during their short time, but he had to leave her behind after fetching Emma to save everyone from the curse. Now that he's in Storybrooke, there'd be no way for him to find her again. She was still in the Enchanted Forest for all he knew.
Hook tried to stray from his thoughts and distracted himself with Henry. Though, it did help him for quite a bit, [Y/n] quickly resurfaced in his thoughts.
What is wrong with me?
Sure, he shockingly made a strong bond with her, but that didn't mean he had to think of her every waking second. It would go from her striking looks to the way she'd laugh at his cheesy jokes. He just couldn't shake her away.
One night, however, Hook had just left the beach after spending time with Henry. And this time, all Hook wanted was a long-awaited drink.
The bitter, toxic smell had wafted through the air of the Rabbit Hole. Meals were being served and the cheering of people echoed through the bar after they won a game of pool. But Hook didn't need any of that; it was a cup of rum he desired.
He propped himself onto one of the stools and waited for the bartender to arrive. In just a matter of seconds, he heard light footsteps come to a stop behind the counter beside him.
"A cup of rum, if you please."
A chipper voice had arisen after he announced his order, "On your way!" and she went to fetch a bottle.
What?
Hook still hadn't looked up after plopping himself on the stool, and now, he was much to afraid to.
The cup of rum had been poured in a glass and slid his way. He stared at the brown of the drink as he contemplated whether or not to make note of who his bartender was.
Could it be?
But there was no way...
Unless she somehow wandered to the curse's perimeters.
"Wait just a second, miss."
The bartender in front of him stopped at the sudden request. "Was there something else you wanted?"
Her voice entranced Hook.
Just the way her head tilted to the side in confusion, to the way her eyes would fill with curiosity, stirred a tornado of emotions in Hook.
He tried his best to ask her for her name. But it seemed as though he had suddenly become mute. Time after time he tried to speak up, but all he accomplished was embarrassing himself in front of his new encounter.
"I'm sorry, but I have other orders to attend to!" She bowed respectfully and walked towards another waiting customer.
Hook looked down in dismay and took a sip of his rum.
He had found her.
---
The next day, Hook ventured right back to the Rabbit Hole, hoping he would find [Y/n] there again.
It still had the tainted smell of alcohol. But this time, with fewer customers. Made sense since it was only the middle of the day.
He looked around. And there she was, shaking up a concoction for the man that stood before her. Hook looked pleased as he began to walk her way. With newfound confidence, he spoke,
"Miss? I never did catch your name."
With a sparkle in her eyes, she gleamed, "It's [Y/n]! And what might your's be?"
Hook seemed to have malfunctioned. Yes, his heart fluttered from the girl that stood before him, but it ached just as much when he realized she had no memory of him.
Moments later and he jolted with a response, "It's..! It's Killian."
To his surprise, he didn't respond with a flirt or anything of the sort. Normally, he would've. But something about [Y/n] had just captivated him.
Pleased, she said, "Nice to meet you, Killian."
