Hook ran. He ran as fast as he possibly could.

After Henry broke the curse, he hadn't stopped running.

Where was she?

He already searched the Rabbit Hole. There was nothing but empty tables and a missing bartender. He would've gone to search for her at her apartment, but he had no idea where she lived. Everything was leading to a dead end.

Not to mention, he felt bad for not being there for Emma and the others, but this was more important at the moment. He can always go back to them after he caught up with [Y/n].

The more he ran, however, the longer the thought. Would she even want to see him? He basically lied straight to her face for weeks. Maybe he should just quit, give her some space. But what if she was just as desperate as he was to see her? He couldn't give up that chance.

Hook continued to run, but he had no luck. Was she avoiding him? Did she not share the same feelings?

All these thoughts were driving him insane. He couldn't take it anymore.

Giving up, he headed down to sulk at the beach.

---

The fresh breeze and the washing of the waves calmed him down.

Over and over he thought, maybe the two of them just weren't meant to be. He had been so hopeful, though. All the time they spent together, was it all pointless?

No, he couldn't give up. He knew the moment he sailed on the Jolly Roger with him back at the Enchanted Forest, that he wanted to spend the rest of his time with her.

But his thoughts were brought to a pause as he felt a presence behind him. Creeping up to someone may be easy on sand, but Hook noticed the sand around him shift.

"Who is it?" he snapped.

For a moment there was silence. Hook was about to turn around and face his friend, but he stopped the second he heard their voice.

"I wouldn't have come if I knew you wanted to be alone."

It was like day #1 all over again. He fell for her voice, and the way words would easily roll off her tongue.

"Did you turn mute all of a sudden? This isn't like you, Killian," he could just hear the smirk in her voice.

Hook turned around and, in the heat of the moment, he reached for [Y/n]'s face and brought it closer to his. But his lips didn't reach hers.

"Not so fast, Killian." Her laugh echoed through his ears.

Quickly, he realized what he was doing and stepped back.

"M-My deepest apologies, love."

The both of them stared into each other's eyes. It was as though time had suddenly stopped, admiring the two of them in perfect harmony.

He couldn't control himself anymore. Again, he grabbed her face and quickly pressed his lips against hers. His hands traveled down to her waist as he felt her arms wrap around him.

By the looks of it, she felt the same way he did.

No longer was this just another encounter.
