*crack*
Nyacilia winced. She looked around warily. Anything could be here, in this strange forest. She had finally crossed the Great Grays and had spent the past few days avoiding villages and foreign people.
A deer darted in front of her. She breathed a sigh of relief. Only deer. *crack* Or. Not.
Now she heard footsteps getting closer. She made sure her head cloth was secure and tucked her scarf over her nose, putting a veil on her two mismatched eyes. All this was tiresome, but necessary. If Leck found her. She shuddered, moving away from the thought. Grasping her two hunting knives that carried her through the tiring journey, she crouched beneath a bush. The footstep were getting closer.
Nyacilia tensed. Out of the line of woods burst.......a child. Upon seeing Nyacilia, the girl widened her eyes and cautiously approached. When she realized Nyacilia would not attempt to harm her, the girl began to talk.
'Hello! My name is Hanna. Papa says I must tell people my name is really Hannadell, but honestly,' she leaned in closer, and whispered, ' Hanna sounds so much better. What's your name? and why are you dressed so stuffy? It's so hot but Fire says I really must actually wear a fancy dress.' she stopped to take a breath.
'Yes, yes, that's all fine, Hanna,' Nyacilia said hurriedly, 'My name is Nyacilia, but call me Nya.'
Hanna looked at her, 'Do I have to call you Lady Nya too? Papa and Fire says I must call people Lord and Lady.'
'Well, not if you don't want too,Hanna.'
Hanna continued drilling Nya with questions, until Nya interrupted, saying,'Excuse me, Hanna, but where are your parents?'
Hanna looked at her and said,'In the forest.'
'Well, other than that.'
'Looking for me?'
Nya gasped.'Hannadell, we must look for your parents, this is probably a big forest.'
Hanna shrugged,'Its not too big, this is the palace's forest, after all.'
