Maddies pov:

I sat next to Chloe on the bus. Paige and Josh sat in front of us. With Josh being the 'popular' guy, everyone thought we should be together. Chloe is dating Jason and Paige is dating Mikey. Both guys are Josh's bestfriends. After Josh left to find his friends, We walked into school. I made sure to say hello to everyone that said it to us, so we wouldn't seem mean. I put my books into my locker and rushed to homeroom. I got there before Chloe and saved a seat for her. Paige was in a different homeroom. I had nothing to do, so I talked to my other friend Allison. We don't get to talk often, but when we do it's really nice. I can tell her anything really. Chloe walked in and sat in the empty seat in front of me.

"Have you seen the new guy?" Chloe asked whipping her head around. "No. why?" I replied trying to seem uninterested. "He's apparently really cute!" Chloe said giving me a look. "Chlo. You know I like Josh. So why would I be Interested in some new kid that I haven't even seen?" I whispered as I opened my binder. She shrugged and turned around. I took out my math homework and finished the last problem that I didn't have time to do. I usually do my homework ,if I have time, unlike Paige who doesn't really try. On the corner of the paper I drew a heart with a J+M in the middle. Of course, after that I started thinking about Josh. The homeroom bell rang and pulled me out of my thoughts. Onto first period now.

~45 minutes later~

I stepped into the hallway with Chloe and looked for Paige. We had second period together. And Josh and his crew were in there too. We sat at our normal tables in the back. "Class! today you will be working in partners! We are doing a lab with" that's when I zoned out. I didn't need to know what this lab was about because we would get and instruction sheet anyways. "However, if your a girl you have to have a boy partner and Vice-versa." That means I can be paired with Josh!!! "Okay. before you find a partner, I would like to introduce some people to you." the teacher said opening the door. A boy and a girl walked in. "This is, Trevor and Abbie." Mr. C said pointing to each of them. Chloe nudged me. "That's the new kid" she whispered in my ear. I'll admit, Trevor was cute, hot even. I looked at Josh to see him staring at Abbie. I rolled my eyes. Josh always does this. But in the end he ends up liking me anyways but never asks me out.
