Sittin'  at  the  keyboard  wonderin'  what  to  write

When a purely random thought conjured up a sight

Feet moving in rhythmic unison

My words  could do a line dance

All positioned  neat and straight

No false missteps  left to chance

Step forward back then the side

Allow  those serifs  to  do a glide

Ascenders, descenders all stride

Toss in a  little ligature  bromide

Mainstroke move  simply divine

So bowl and tail both intertwine

Ear and shoulder  doing just fine

Crossbar pops up to the cap line

At this  juncture all  spin  around

Clapping  hands the  only sound

Beak and tittle to counter round

Eye  with spur  for is  apex found

These terms used to make a font

Confiscated  for  this  happy jaunt

My poetic  skills  did  not  advance

But  I  enjoyed  my text  line dance
